They just did a medley of songs from the show in costume on The One Show Did Kelli or Ken get to speak? I imagine both will be doing interviews before the show opens

Just had a message from Today Tix to say they are doing seats from £19 looks like they are at the back of upper circle Also noticed that performances start at 7pm. And Matilda are about to move to 7pm start. Wonder if other theatres will change. I know there was recent discussion about this. For me it's a great idea as means living in London can go straight from work and be home that much earlier especially as I have to be up early every day. Can’t believe the prices for this show. And that today tix ‘offer’ is a con. That’s no offer at all. Just the most rubbish seats.

Just looking at some tickets- I'm taking the grandparents for their anniversary. It's my Grandma's favourite musical, I remember her buying the DVD of King and I, South Pacific (Grandad's Favourite) and The Sound of Music when I was 7/8 and I watched them non-stop. It means a great deal to me if anything it sparked my love for musicals, so I have to go.
Just searching for tickets and have a quick query; I'm debating whether to go for top price non-premium (likely I will end up with those) or go for next bracket down; would you go for extreme side stalls in row E or row I in the royal circle?

The tickets prices for this are hilarious.
And Today Tix better be doing a Rush Ticket for this, because that £19 "offer" is just an insult to its customers.

After reading these posts I had a look, I really can't believe the prices they're charging, but it seems to be a common thread this year, prices are really rocketing beyond what people can afford to go regularly. This year I've been shocked at the prices for Chess, The King and I and Chicago, not to add in Hamilton. I remember someone posting about trying to get tickets for four for Phantom and it just being far too much for a few hours, it works out to the cost of a city break abroad.

I received an email from the Palladium/RUG offering a free upgrade to £65 seats on £39.50 tickets.
Apparently not quite the super hot ticket that Sir Howard would have us believe! I seem to recall him pulling the same stunt with Dirty Rotten Scoundrels in the West End, saying that it was the only sell out show other than BoM, when in reality it was playing to houses half full at best!

I received an email from the Palladium/RUG offering a free upgrade to £65 seats on £39.50 tickets. Only usable if you have the actual email, just to note. And only midweek evenings during holiday time when folk are away. Fair enough, there are over 2500 seats to fill every single night. And I sat and went through every single date and it's only for upper circle seats which should be the discounted price in the first place. Claims nothing available in the stalls or dress circle when you're in the offer.

I went through all these too and can concur.
Only a few upper circle seats and far from all dates.
It is a large scale production so I’m sure it will look fine from up there, but think it will be much better from near the front.

I’m still hoping that there will be rush tickets on the day from TodayTix. Day seating is not an option sadly, and I do really want to see this production.

There are reports now that Ruthie Ann Miles has not committed to the show following the tragic incident in her life, and that reports that include her name are based on older news releases.

I presumed this was the case. Her name is probably just left on the list, but I personally don't see her coming back so quickly.

Here's a link to the medley that was on the One show last week. Kelli is in fine voice.

Does anyone know, or could estimate, what the stage height is likely to be like for this production? I know people have commented on the orchestra likely being in view rather than covered, but how do we think that will impact on the first few rows? I had an awful view from the side stalls (not that far back either) last time I was at the Palladium, so want more central seats, but don't want to be stuck in row B or C. not able to see anything because the conductor is blocking the view and the stage is too high!

They rarely raise the height of the Palladium stage, and my guess is that it will not change for this, as I can't ever recall the show having a revolve? If it is regular height, B will be fine. I'm sitting in that row anyway and am happy to take the chance. Thanks - the front rows seemed fine from my estimations of the theatre, but I just didn't know the logistics of the specific show. I'll definitely be booking this soon!

No revolve in the US version.
At the Lincoln Centre, the stage extends at the start to cover the orchestra. Obviously that didn’t happen on the tour.

I'm sure both ladies were listed on a cast list on Twitter or Instagram before the latest tragic news. I presume there was going to be some kind of maternity-based role-sharing, but now that circumstances have changed, the role-share will be based on how able Ruthie feels able to participate, whether that's the originally planned amount, or whether she backs out all together. As long as she's receiving the support she needs from the production for whatever decision she needs to make for her own well-being.
