Thanks anthony40. Someone said Steve can be anywhere. I'm assuming front rows and aisle seats are "risky" areas, right? As I've said before in other threads, audience participation makes me nervous as hell!

When I saw it at The Other Palace, the first two rows were the 'danger' zone.
If booking mate, use that as a guide.
Best of luck!
Have fun!

Thanks anthony40. Someone said Steve can be anywhere. I'm assuming front rows and aisle seats are "risky" areas, right? When I saw it, she went for a Steve who was obviously with a girl (which feeds into the whole "affair" storyline). Don't know for sure if that happens every night, but it might help.

I'm in row D, so hopefully I'm safe?
God, if there's one thing I hate (apart from bad audience behaviour), then it's audience participation. Just don't do it. Don't.

It's not even participation; if she picks on you, you can absolutely get away with just grinning awkwardly until it's over. You don't have to stand up, say anything, or do anything. Just let it happen and the show will move swiftly on.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, first preview was central row D (and from a photo I saw on twitter earlier, tonight or this afternoon was possibly aisle row D) But as Baemax says, you don’t actually have to do anything, just sit there

Oh it was fabulous. So much fun! Now, I'm not the type to buy into the hype until I see a show. I havent rushed to see Hamilton, I saw Harry Potter a year and a half later and I didn't stress myself out booking and got a cheap ticket on the day. The cast overall were fantastic. Carrie and Jamie were both great, really fantastic. The two jocks were hilarious, as were the other two Heathers. But the obvious standout was Jodie Stelle, who I thought was simply outstanding, amazing! What a performance! And a surprising turn, Hugh Maynard was off and in his place was Mr. Nathan Amzi! He was there though, nothing special about his performance really. The show itself was hilarious. Alot of fun, great songs and performance to match. The set was, again there, it added nothing too it, and considering PTM realeased that statement saying he was putting on a "big show" I didn't quite see that from a visual sense. I also love wd the lighting design. Alot of bold choices that worked well. The audience were on another level.aybe a quarter men and the rest women. So many people were dressed as the Heathers or wearing merch, it was crazy! And when Carrie came on I thought yep, entrance applause, of course, but holy crap, when the Heathers arrived it blew Carrie's applause away. After every song it wasnt just cheering, it was screaming! It was crazy. But otherwise, a thoroughly well behaved audience, only cheering and going crazy when appropriate. Instant standing ovation, it was great. I'll definitely try to catch again before it leaves. A great show! * Oh, and those following the Steve thing, he was on the end of the fourth row tonight.

Does anyone know is CHF has any shows off this week?
Missed this at TOP and this week is likely the only time I'll have to go see this - would love to see Carrie preferably (watched her vlogs for ages, yet have never seen her in a show!). I do love a good understudy show but with this one I'm almost definitely only going to have the one chance to see it

Saw this last night, haven’t been to the theatre in a while for various reasons, primarily went for Jamie Muscato but ended up loving the whole cast. Just what I needed to make me leave with a bounce in my step again. There really are some strong performances in this plus I found it really funny. The screaming from the fans around me at first I found odd but becomes infectious, you kind of can’t help being swept up in the enthusiasm. I’d definitely go back for another viewing, maybe later on in the run to see if that crazy following is still there or quietens down. Would be interesting to see the piece with a normal audience to see if you get swept up the same way. I thought Jamie was outstanding as was Carrie to be fair. But Jodie Steele just steals it. I too was surprised to see Nathan Amzi had replaced Hugh Maynard & was sharing the role with Sergio Pasquarilleo I’m a fan of both Nathan and Hugh but wonder what happened to Hugh as I was hoping to see him as I loved him in Miss Saigon? Afterwards Nathan said he’d been called in an emergency and was sent the script the day before then had 2 hours rehearsal with the cast then thrown on! So can see why they split the role with Sergio, he did well for such short notice, although Nathan says he’s learning the whole thing next week. So I wonder if Hugh is coming back? Also just to note anyone wanting to stage door this show they make you wait outside the front of the theatre and queue! Guessing it’s for noise outside stage door as it’s quite residential and mainly for the Carrie fans but quite a few in the line were dressed up like the show so think it was a mix. But there must have been about 60/70 people out front. Only Jodie Steele & Nathan Amzi came out and signed programmes and chatted. Apparently they alternate who comes out that way which I find really strange. I do understand the volume of young screaming Carrie fans but I’ve seen much bigger shows with bigger names too in the past and thought this was odd for the staff to make people queue and then only two cast come out. Anyway in all a fun night out of the house. Tempted to get out and try and see more shows again.

Question: believe me I was looking, but where do the two jocks have their microphone packs hidden considering they are practically naked at the end of Act 1 and the whole of Act 2?
Sidenote, I'm only calling them the two jocks because I still don't know the name of the other one and energy to check my programme has left the building.

Chris Chung 😉 My programe didn’t even have a cast list last night and there weren’t any in sight from down in the stalls.

Clearly we all know who everyone is looking at if you know Chris is "the other one". 😂😂 No my programme didn't either, but it came with a fold out paper insert that includes: cast, understudies, creatives and musical numbers. As well as a running time of 2h, 25m but last night I didn't get out on the street until 22:22 and was one of the first out so clearly it is overruning at the moment. There was a paper insert or two on a stand I was tempted to just take but then the programme is actually pretty great quality so glad I got it!

Are they possibly wearing wigs with them hidden in there? I haven't seen the show yet so don't know, but I've seen that happen before.

Don't be silly, the prices they are charging, they would 't spend it on wigs! 😂 but there wasn't any obvious, ahem, bulge of a mic pack anywhere where it shouldn't of been, so thats wht I was curious.

Went on Thursday. Third time seeing the show (once off-Broadway, once at The Other Palace). Found it rather scrimpy that the set is exactly the same as the other palace. It looks v amateur and doesn’t do the production any favours. Gets lost in that huge theatre (huge when compared with The Other Palace).
The cast sounded tired, didn’t have the same sharp feel as when I saw it at The Other Palace. The new song they’ve put in for Carrie makes no sense to the show and detracts from the flow of Act 2. Thinking about JD as a character at that point in the story, he’s standing there with a gun whilst she rants at him for 5 mins, surely he would’ve shot her.
Unfortunately, the reason why this show worked Off-Broadway and off-West End is the informal, intimate feel that can be achieved in a small space. Not a 4 tier theatre. The cast played to the bottom of the dress; but unfortunately I was up in the balcony.
The quick turn around from TOP to West End was, unfortunately, to the detriment of the production in my opinion. It needed an extra kick in terms of staging and production value.
TOP production got 4/5* from me. Unfortunately, that doesn’t automatically carry over and this struggled to only just hit 3* for me. I felt cheated out of £25 for a terrible tiny seat in the Gods watching a production which was made for a single-tier 500 seat theatre....

Do you not think that your £25 seat (in that horrific balcony) might have coloured your view slightly? It is bloody awful! A bit of intimacy, even just the upper circle, might have helped your enjoyment

I still stand by my comment about the production though! £15 would be a better price!

The £25 seats in the balcony verge on cruelty, as well as daylight robbery. £10 atbest. Go for the side seats in the Upper, the ones on the edge of the row are listed as Restricted but really aren't, you just miss the very corners of the stage.

I feel so bad for my friends now after hearing how bad these balcony seats are, they’re all going in November on balcony tickets 😬 Review to follow of last night from me, I’m still taking in the amazingness of it all right now!
