First show of my New York trip, and it is truly a spectacular sight to be seen! The Kong puppet and the way they work it is just incredible. Visually, the show is incredible.
I loved the leading lady Christiani Pitts. Excellent vocals and she really committed to her performance. Choreography especially in the open was excellent. Overall a very strong ensemble cast.
The score isn’t too great but... who cares? I got more than I expected from this one.
Tickets - was front row of the orchestra for $49 rush. Only bought them at around 17:10. Theatre seemed pretty full!

Caught today's matinee. (4/13/19)
If you go into the show with the mind set, it's a... meh afternoon. The puppet is the whole show, it's exciting when it's on stage and when it's off, you wish it was on. To be honest, the puppet is one of the coolest set pieces I've seen on stage and Kong is so life like. The music and lyrics aren't good except "Queen of New York." Eddie Perfect must have some naughty pictures of some powerful producers because he shouldn't be involved with a musical, especially not two! The puppet will win best scenic design and maybe even lightening design.
The house was probably between 50-75% full, which is a bad sign for a Saturday Matinee. If you get a ticket for less then $75 go for it. Don't pay full price for this.
