Apologies if this has already been mentioned on this thread (though I can't find it) - is there any concrete evidence that this actually is coming over early next year? It's just gossip isn't it?
Find it highly unlikely that this and The Girls would open within months of each other, even though they are produced by different people! Hope I'm proved wrong!

The website uses the world 'will' and the Twitter account says it's coming, so I'd take that as confirmation.

I am sure Gary Barlow confirmed on Twitter a transfer.

Jersey Boys will be closing on 26 March 2017! Maybe Finding Neverland will go into the Piccadilly Theatre then?

It just had to. If they really want to open in 2017 it has to be the Piccadilly

Jeez Baz is dropping all the news early isn't he?! It's not Friday yet.
Finding Neverland will absolutely die a death here. Unless it's being overhauled.

RE: Dream casting, I've been thinking Scarlett Strallen would be nice in the role of Sylvia. Could get Bonnie Langford to play Madam du Maurier too for a neat little bit of semi-stunt casting? Both are great performers, probably too good for it but... that's what dream casting is before!
Just really hope that this delay in opening means Alfie Boe is no longer attached...

Louise Dearman would be the perfect Sylvia. And I too hope Alfie won't be in it

I haven't seen Louise in anything, sorry. I keep seeing her name appear in this thread though.

Louise was an amazing Glinda and a very good Elphaba. I think she'd be a good choice for this.

I'd quite like an ex-Morrible for Maurier, like Harriet Thorpe perhaps. Stylistically they're very similar characters I think. I'm mostly looking forward to hearing British children sing those songs without ghastly forced accents that sound like something out of a low-cost version of Downton Abbey. "And Peter was seow happyah..."

I'm excited for the show too. I support the idea of Louise Dearman being cast, i think she is wonderful.
How about Scott Garnham as JM Barrie?

I was thinking Anita Louise Combe as du Maurier, or maybe Josefina Gabrielle.

I was thinking Anita Louise Combe as du Maurier, or maybe Josefina Gabrielle. ^ This makes me feel old. Because at one point they would have been Sylvia. Now they're candidates for Sylvia's mom. All That Matters is a great number. Rebecca Trehearn should sing it.

I still Ramin Karimloo or Hadley Fraser would be great as JM Barrie.
Siobhan Dillon would be wonderful as Sylvia as well.

Ramin would be a great lead for this. I am holding strong on Louise Dearman as Sylvia but I would also love a Rebecca Trehearn take on the role. I feel Madame du Maurier is a role designed for a long standing female leading lady. Screw it, lets throw Elaine Paige in there.

I have my doubts if it can be successful over here considering it was mauled by the critics in NY unless they revamp it yet again. Given the number of new musicals opening next year and Hamilton coming the latter part of next year, FN could find itself struggling.

Let's just be glad there will be many new musicals opening. 2016 hasn't been great so far
