The transfer had been pulled. Hurrah! Baz has just tweeted that this isn't true Too bad if his tweet were true. This is a musical the world can do without.

Oooh okay then. I don't want to be mean to anyone's favourite show, but out of all the shows that have been rumoured to transfer, this is the one I could personally do without the most. Maybe a great cast could entice me back, but it'd have to be stellar because honestly I've never been more disappointed in a show in my life, and I know others also feel this way. But then... everyone has different tastes and evidently some people love it, so there you go.

The transfer had been pulled. Hurrah! This coming from the guy who was convinced Sheridan wasn't returning, as though he had inside info... yup, reliable.

It will never fill the Palladium with Alfie or anyone, just especially Alfie. Its not LM. It could do well at a 1200 seat theatre not bigger.

If you look back on my various posts, you'll see I reliably revealed many things- including both Funny G and Dreamgirls going to the Savoy before anyone else announced it. And at no point was my opinion that SS would not be back based on any 'insider info'... It was my own personal feeling about the situation and in that instance I was glad to be proved wrong. If you consider me to be so unreliable, I'll not post any titbits I have of news/rumours etc. . The transfer had been pulled. Hurrah! This coming from the guy who was convinced Sheridan wasn't returning, as though he had inside info... yup, reliable.

Did you not read what I said? I know people who were due to work on it but are now finding other work for next spring.. But yes, if you want to say it's going to the palladium then enjoy that. Coming to the Palladium I hear.

It's a horrible musical that romanticizes an abusive relationship, it should never open here.

True, but that doesn't mean it should go without being said.
However, perhaps I've succeeded in scouring this musical from my brain, can someone remind me who is in an abusive relationship with who?

The point is that the musical doesn't show at all how the Barrie- Llewelyn Davies boys relationship really was and (like the movie) makes a Disney hero out of a creep.

Just seen this:
If the show wasn't going ahead in London I don't see why they would provide this response. Surely if the show wasn't coming to London but they hadn't announced that they would have just ignored the message and not responded?

Well maybe they are jus getting rid of people initially scheduled to work on the show.. Seems odd though.
It will totally flop here. It will be madness if it does arrive. It's not terrible but it's really only a 'Meh' show.

I agree it's a great number, and Laura MK delivers it sensationally. It's a shame the rest of the score is so rubbish "All That Matters" is one of my fave MT tracks ever.

It's not terrible but it's really only a 'Meh' show. Isn't the West End surviving on meh and below meh shows? Funny Girl is thriving and it's the epitome of meh-ness.

Don't be put off by the smattering of negative reactions on this thread - whilst it's by no means in the same leagues as Les Mis or Phantom, I personally found it better than some shows currently on in the West End. I do however, believe the casting for a show like this is crucial. LMK was extremely warm in the role of Sylvia, and the role of Barrie is borderline unlikeable, but as I say, it's all in the casting.

Now that it's been announced that 42nd Street is going into the Theatre Royal Drury Lane and looking at the list of what's on when on the general board, it looks like the only theatre that will be free for Finding Neverland is the Harold Pinter. It's a small theatre with only 796 seats however. I think Finding Neverland would work well in a smaller theatre (but perhaps not that small). Plus, I don't think there would be enough stage space for the production. Is there anywhere else we can presume this may go?
