Brendon Urie as Judas. That's my only dreamcast and I 100% need it in my life, especially now that he is playing Charlie in Kinky Boots. He will have broadway experience by then + he sings REALLY GOOD + he's a rock singer. I mean. I MEAN. HE IS PERFECT.

I'm honestly not that sure how tasteful that timing is. For many, the show is still blasphemous, and knowing how strong the Christian movement is in the USA, it seems a little disrespectful. Not the show, I mean just when they are showing it. Though I think most of the people who attend the Ted Neeley tours and these JCS arena productions ARE of Christian groups, evangelists and not specifically musical theatre nerds or theatre goers. I think Christian pop politics evolved a lot since the '70s, and it might have a great popularity from the faithful. |

He is an Emmy away from the EGOT. Who knew?! As much as he doesn't really do much for me, I rather like that he has achieved those awards in different ways, the Oscar as a songwriter, the Grammys as a performer and the Tony as a producer. |

Not to divert - but it looks like the recent all-lady cast of JCS will now get a recording with Morgan James as Jesus and Shoshana Bean as Judas. They're both great and I do love me some riffs, but they riff to a point where the songs become unrecognizable. If we are getting down this non-gender conforming casting, then Cynthia Erivo would make a pretty intense Judas. Wouldn't be bad to pair her up with John Legend again.
