I’m going to presume it is a role that has no impact on the story but can be recast many times specifically with ‘celebrity’ names to boost sales.

I've got nothing against Will Young but I am so disappointed that they have shoehorned him into this production.
The orginal sounded just fine to me, and I was just about to book myself a ticket when the casting was announced. No ticket booked yet, so now going to wait and see how much this has affected the show. Lots of other things to spend my limited cash on......

Is this selling well? Do you think maybe they added Will Young in to boot sales at this point, or was it always their intention?

Such a shame that the grey hair wasn’t to age him up to play Federation President Barry Fife or creepy aging lothario Ken Railings. Great characters...

I loved this in Leeds so it is a shame to think they have added this band leader role to slot celebrities in to boost sales (which is sadly how it seems), as a good musical shouldn't need this. Oh well. Glad to see some of the original cast are joining the show in London. Gary Watson and Richard Grieve in particular were fab

I had booked a ticket for Friday, 16th March and just got an eMail from ATG telling me that my performance has been cancelled; the first show will now be on the 29th March. Let's see if I can exchange my ticket for early June as I won't be in London between March and then...

Wonder what the unforeseen circumstances are. Has Will got something more important to do?

Will was getting his hair bleached and his teeth capped so he needs time to recuperate...

I had tickets booked in advance for the opening for a gift for a family member whose a big fan. It's supposed to be a Christmas present, but I'll have to change the date and sort something out.
I do wish that they would have explained what the problem is and why it's being cancelled so soon after tickets have gone on sale. At least with Hamilton the theatre wouldn't have been ready, but what's the reason for this?

it wasn’t a particularly technical show at the WYP.

Well we don't know it's postponed because of Will, or technical difficulties.

In the official statement they say it’s ‘an unforeseen schedule conflict’
They still haven’t announced a Mrs Hastings in the cast as far as I’m aware, so it could possibly be related to that.

Did anyone else book via LoveTheatre? My friend booked our tickets and he hasn’t been contacted yet.

Wonder what the unforeseen circumstances are. Has Will got something more important to do? They need an extra couple of weeks to find someone to write a score for it that isn't crap? The staging and performances in Leeds were terrific. The musical numbers written specifically for the show, to put it kindly, really weren't.

There'll be a local rate number on the confirmation email if you decide you want to call them but don't want to pay OTT for the call

Still need to ring and change my tickets over to a new date, another job to add to the list of things to be done after Christmas. Shame they didn't feel the need to explain why it's been delayed but I suppose that's just me wanting to know more than anything

Just as a heads up, the film is currently available on BBC iplayer for anyone who hasn’t watched it or anyone who’d want a refresher! It really is a gem.

Time After Time was a duet between Scott and Fran at Leeds wasn't it and Love Is In The Air a full ensemble number? I'm not convinced the changes were necessary, just to shoe horn Will Young into the production, but I'd still like to catch the show again to see Zizi's take on Fran.
