I agree that Semi-Final Two was quite dull compared to One. I really didn't like Austria though.

Caught this last night and thought the Romanian yodelling/rap song was great fun, but that probably says more about me....

I am really hoping for a Portugal win now - he is an odd bloke but sings beautifully
And there are no gimmicks!

Romania is a good song but he was struggling with the top notes last night. He is a young lad - hopefully he will pull it together for the jury tonight as the final tomorrow
Not sure about all the squiggles though!

Whoever wins this year will have a long way to go to better last year's sensational and emotional wineer : Jamala.
Good luck to Lucie...

I didn't like last year's at all. But loved Sweden the year before. And my favourite in recent years was the Norwegian lad who played the violin. Think the song was called Fairytale.

The first Eurovision Song Contest I watched was 1963, and I've only missed one since (1974 - the folly of youth, spent the evening at Tiffanys dance hall instead). Well technically I've missed two, because our nephew very inconsiderately got married on the day of the contest in 2014 so I had to watch the full recording (having managed to avoid hearing the result) when we arrived home at 1 in the morning.

I can go even further back than that. Scarey. Never missed one even when I lived overseas for years

Have purposely not looked at any of the songs and so far tonight is a mix. You have the dreary ballads that are ok then My Friend was certainly something I I think I secretly like it. Let's just see if we win. Do you think brexit will make a difference in our place or do the other countries not give a sh*t anymore?

But living in one of the other 27 EU countries I can tell you that people get sick of the Brexit circus. They might hold it against you.

Well Lucie was absolutely flawless, incredible, in my opinion. Haven't watched many others but what I did see was not good! I really do think Lucie deserves to be right up at the top but who knows if voters will vote for us now 🙄

I'm pretty stunned, Lucie was incredible! We need to place high this year, its complete bullsh*t if we don't, she was easily one of the best of the night!

I just hope, for once, people vote for the best act and not the politics of the situation. Because Lucie could win this if not.

Had to laugh at Ireland not giving us anything!
Very glad Lucie is doing well, but I thought she was flat (in terms of pitch) the whole performance, unless the song is written like that? She was obviously giving it everything but I wasn't sold unfortunately.

Considering we came close to last in 2016, I'm feeling positive, we could well make it Top 10 at least the rate we are going!
