Especially considering that the LuPone's revival had to cut the final part of the run because it wasn't selling.

Any news on a DVD yet? I'm having problems with my Tivo box abd may have to reset it. No Imelda means my tragic life would be meaningless. Sad old Show Queen that I am.

I too, hope it's released on DVD but think they've left it too late now. If Imelda does go to Broadway think of the money the Beeb and Production company can make flogging them.

She said in a Metro interview recently that it was going to Broadway in 2017 but that she had a couple of theatre projects taking place before then.

It does make you wonder if the absence of a DVD is to do with the possible future of the show..

I assume it's the Broadway filming with Chad Kimball and Montego Glover, which has already been released years ago - even on Bluray. My Bluray Player plays the Bluray without problems, but I've only ever watched it once because of Chad Kimball's Huey - creepy springs to my mind. On the other hand: if it featured Adam Pascal...

Correct..i was only talking about new releases...

I got excited then, thinking it was the Imelda Staunton and Michael Ball Sweeney! It's just the Patti Lupone and George Hearn concert with a new cover.

Tsk. Americans. They should learn to spell 'colour' properly before they go criticising Imelda. Color. Goodness. I ask you.

The Gypsy Blu-ray is region 1, it says all are supposedly but I can play Memphis ok. Not that I want to with Kimball in the role. Perhaps the BBC will release it??

Three days earlier and it would have been the perfect birthday present. Now wait till Christmas, or do I treat myself.

Imelda Staunton amazing obviously. I loved Lara Pulver too. I had it until I ditched Sky and now it's gone forever so I'll buy it when it's released. I LOVE the transformation scene as Louise goes from rookie burlesque act to burlesque superstar. That snake dress and the glove with a red tassel in the Garden of Eden. Fab.
