Its a shame there are No Day seats for this. Will try and see it before it closes but I haven't got much money. Yes I agree, the cheapest I have been offered for Charlie when turning up to the theatre is £17.50 up in the Balcony. A bit of a risk hoping for an upgrade when you don't know how well it's sold, and I really don't see the point in sitting so high up and far away, even for little money. Realistically, I will probably give in sometime between now and January (maybe some offers will come through) as I'm sure I'll kick myself for not seeing a massive, relatively long-running (for the venue) production at Drury Lane - no matter what the quality might be like! |

If you pick a midweek out of school holidays you should be fine. Checking availability on the ticket sites can give you an idea of how it's sold

Doesn't generally reduce at tkts. Went to box office last time I went, asked for cheapest available and ended up upgraded to the stalls for the princely sum of £17.50 |

If you're patient and can wait til January, this will be on Get Into London Theatre again. This year we got Row E central Dress Circle for £40.

Christian Borle has just been cast as Willy Wonka for Broadway. Opening in the theatre where Finding Neverland currently is from March 2017.  |

Haven't seen him, but heard great things about Borle, I'm sure he'll be brilliant!
Would have thought that the show would go to somewhere huge like the Lyric. I'm guessing if it's the Lunt-Fontanne then that'll be more similar to the touring set they'll use.

It's in discussions for a UK tour, so my prediction would be a few years on Broadway followed by a US tour, and a UK tour. Maybe a return to London 5+ years down the line after the tour, who knows.

The Lunt-Fontanne is far from the smallest theatre on Broadway, but the stage is nowhere near the size of the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane. I know they said this was going to be revised a lot, surely this must mean a down scaled set as well?

I think it will do well on Broadway So do I, especially with Borle playing Willy Wonka! Saw him in Something Rotten May last year, he is a phenomenal actor, he is so well cast as Wonka! |

I think it will last a Matilda sized run on Broadway (almost four years). It is a hugely popular film and book, the show is already a known piece as it has run here for nearly four years by closing. Christian is a great casting that is sure to bring in some audience too with both his TV and stage credits. It is not going into a massive theatre like the Drury Lane so it has every bit of chance to have a strong run!

I personally think if it can do 18 months to 2 years then that'll be a good run although I suspect Warner Bros are hoping it gets a better critical reception on Broadway.
