Hi Theatreboard!
Been a reader (for about three months -- I'll get to that in a second) but first time poster. I've spend this term in London studying, and it has been absolutely incredible, but the time has come for me to head back to the states on Wednesday.
I have two open show slots before then (this Friday and Saturday night), and would love a bit of advice on what to see. I feel like I've already seen quite a bit here and seen even more in the states, so I've listed everything I have already seen below. Seeing that I am a student, I do prefer any more affordable options, even if that means worse seats. Any help or advice is appreciated. I will say that I am considering The Girls for one of the slots, but that is certainly subject to change.
I've Seen, in no particular order: The Lion King Wicked An American in Paris (although I had horrible seats on Broadway so I would think of seeing it again) Les Miserables (not yet, but have tickets for Tuesday night) The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia? Kinky Boots The Phantom of the Opera (It's been a while though. Would see this here, but tickets seem to be hard to get or expensive. Ideas?) Matilda Beautiful Dreamgirls School of Rock Half a Sixpence Curious Incident Harry Potter The Glass Menagerie Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead Whisper House The Frogs
I also have tickets to Angels in America: Part 1 for tomorrow.
Thank you so much!

I would definitely recommend 42nd Street, but if you want something a bit different then I'd say head to the Southwark Playhouse and see The Life. Tickets are super cheap compared to West End prices, and the space is very intimate, plus the show itself is amazing.

42nd Street seems like the main thing you're missing here.

Worth it to pay more to see only 42nd street instead of two different shows for less? Doesn't seem to be any good-enough seats for it which are less than £50 or so.
Or I may be able to pull off 42nd Street + The Life. Is The Girls okay to miss?

I believe the £35 seats in the Grand Circle for 42nd street are decent value for money, but if they're all gone then I don't really know what to say. 42nd Street is, in my opinion, unmissable, but The Life is excellent (especially considering the price) and its worth it just to see Sharon D Clarke's performance. I can't comment on The Girls as I haven't seen it, but I'd say definitely go for 42nd Street and then look at The Life if you can still afford it and can fit it in.

I'd add to the recommendations for 42nd Street - it is quite simply fabulous.

If I only had two slots left, and I know I'm gonna get sh*t for saying this, but don't waste it on The Girls. Its a fun night out but it isn't anything incredible or dare I even say memorable in terms of score or anything. If for the performances of the cast, which are fantastic, then go. But I wouldn't go expecting a brilliant musical. Its good fun though.

It sounds like the answer here is 42nd Street! Thank you to everyone for their help. This is an amazing city and I'm going to miss it, and its theatre!
