My friend saw it tonight, I believe the understudies were: Daniela - Sarah Naudi Carla - Alexzandra Sarmiento Camila - Jocasta Almgill Abuela - Josie Benson Vanessa - Emma Kingston plus I think Raffaella Covino as Nina, he's not sure because he didn't actually see the understudy screen

Looking at Twitter, Jocasta was Camila and Sarah was Daniela. Not sure whether it was Josie or Norma off.

Is there a brochure available for this? Or is it just a standard programme?

Just a standard programme as far as I'm aware.

Guys I've seen that there is a senior citizen price online and I was wondering how it works for foreigners? I'd like to take my parents to see the show next month but they are not British citizens so I don't know if it would be ok anyway? And, what is the age for a senior citizen? I swear I look around everywhere on the site but I can't find an answer.

I believe the age to be considered a senior citizen is around 60, and not actually being a british citizen shouldn't harm their ability to get those tickets provided they are old enough. You could always phone up the theatre and ask? To be honest every time I've gone as a students they've never asked for student ID so I'm not sure how well enforced the exact age limits are.

Thank you! I was confused especially for the citizenship. I'll send an email to the theatre then... just to be sure.

I've had the same experience with the under 25 tickets. They just hand it over, no questions asked.

It's just a nicer way of saying OAP (Old Age Pensioner). So assuming your parents are over 60 or so (or look old enough), you'd be fine.

I wish I knew this. I've just booked tickets but nowhere did I see a Senior Citizen discount. Not many London theatres do this but my local theatre does and I have never been asked for ID.

Ok I booked with the discount since my parents are definitely over 60 (but don't tell my mum that I told you this). Thank you everybody for the help!

Hearing whispers this is coming to the end of it's time.
Shame, but it's had a cracking run!

When I saw this in November the house was less than half full, I was sure it was a few weeks from closing. So to come this far is a brilliant success for them, and well deserved.

West End Understudies tweeted (but later deleted it) that Emma Kingston will be taking over as Vanessa

Tonight Michael is on as Usnavi, Jocasta as Camila. Also signs around the theatre of Emma taking over and a slip in the programme.
Also, programmes are newly printed with the new cast members bar Emma. Aslo now includes "created by 2016 Grammy Winner Lin Manuel Miranda" on the front.
Finally I can see what all this Olivier fuss with David Bedella is about haha!

Incredible as usual, Phillipa needs to be a permanent fixture on the West End, she is just sensational! Audience was surprisingly about 90/95% full (yup, you read that right!). Very responsive, with full standing ovation at the end.

She was indeed. Only understudies were for Usnavi and Camilla.

She was indeed. Only understudies were for Usnavi and Camilla. Cool. Michael and Jocasta are both great in those roles. Regarding earlier talk in this thread, I hope they're training someone up right now to cover Jocasta's absence when she leaves; she covers so many roles. So, Daniel, your opinions on Mr Bedella.

He was, well, David Bedella. I thought he was very good, but I personally have preferred Vas in that role. I have seen him every other time as Kevin and he is fantastic! I don't really understand how David won the Olivier in all honesty, when he isn't even the strongest in the show, let alone that catagory! Dan Burton was truly robbed there. And sidenote, Sam Mackay was ronbed of a nomination too... I should also of said, Emma was amazing as Vanessa. Wow, that voice is a stunner! Hopefully she gets a chance to play a certian Green Witch when she is a little older and more experienced. Her voice is amazing! The show still belongs to Phillipa for me though, it is one of my favorite performances in the West End hahaa!

Do the box office do discounts on the day if you buy a ticket shortly before the performance?

I was planning to see this again just before it was due to close in Oct...given the above about it being on it's last legs maybe i'd be wise to push that forward a bit.
