Jocasta has tweeted that her last day will be the 4th of September. At which point the show will either fall apart as she seems to cover every role in the show; OR, they'll train up people to cover the roles she covers in the meantime.
Has Philippa ever gone on as Camila?

Has Philippa ever gone on as Camila? It's gonna be so strange seeing her as Camila if she ever does go on. I mean, I wanna see her sing it and she is great in the show, but she looks the same age as most of the cast haha!

Imagine Jocasta as Camila or Josie as Abuela (both of which I've seen).

Saw this again last night, never seen the stage so full of people! From what I was hearing, David Bedella should be back soon as Vas's last scheduled date as Kevin is this weekend coming. Only two weeks left of Joe Aaron Reid in the company, and it looks like Dex Lee from the original Southwark cast is going to be replacing him. Have they got any more Southwark cast left to come and fill roles? They must be running out soon.

David Bedella is back according to Facebook. Also, Philippa Stefani was on as Camila. I would love to see that so much.

Does anyone know if they'll be extending? Many of the cast are leaving, but maybe there will just be a new cast after October?

Does anyone know why specifically the 28th performance appears to be sold out everywhere? I've been look for tickets for that week and only that performance is sold out and it seems like it has been for a while now. Just wondered if it was a special performance or event I wasn't aware of.

So I finally saw this on Tuesday night and thought I would share a few thoughts. In short, I loved it! We had 3 understudies on, including Philipa as Camila - other than looking a bit too young she totally pulled it off, and you probably wouldn't know she was understudy if it wasn't pointed out to you (an announcement was made in the bar, 15 minutes before the start of the show). I was super impressed with the cast as a whole, the energy was incredible and they really were all giving their all.
I wasn't sure if it would be my cup of tea as I don't particularly like rap at all, but I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it. I was treating it as a sort of warm up for Hamilton, knowing that if I hated this then I should save my money when Hamilton does come over...it so happens that I'm now happy to say I'll definitely get Hamilton tickets (if I can of course).
Would wholly recommend In The Heights to anybody, especially if like me you don't think it would be your cup of tea. I'm going to try and go again before cast change/closure.

Jealous you got to see Philippa as Camila. I wish we could see a picture. How did she have her hair?

Well that's who she normally plays. They both wear tight red dresses, so it's always a risk I guess.
I've seen Josie Benson and Jocasta Almgill as Camila and they both look different enough facially/hairwise (to Philippa) that it's not been a 'problem.'

I just noted that they looked similar. Once the show got going and I got my head around all of the characters it was totally fine.

Ha! That's exactly why I went to "In The Heights" Loved it too. Surprised they don't make more of the Hamilton connection on the posters.

I can't remember seeing a single advert for In the Heights on the Underground this year, whereas The Railway Children seems to be promoted at almost every station!

Are Jocasta Almgill and Sarah Naudi the understudies? Are they on as other characters?
We haven't had a cast drama for a little while.

Sarah was on as Vanessa yesterday when I went, and Jocasta as Daniela so I'm guessing it only took Josie or the actress who plays Abuela to be off for them to run out of Vanessa covers! Other than Sarah and Jocasta covering roles though it was very full yesterday, great ensemble. Dex Lee is great as Benny, he's clearly put a lot of thought into the character and it was a great take on the role.
