I was watching a Q&A with Beverley Knight and she said how she would've loved to have had a role in dreamgirls but she thinks she's too old for a part. I would've loved to have seen her added to the cast, maybe she auditioned? But then again it overlaps with her commitments to The Bodyguard

Whilst I don't know if she would of been a great Deena overall, I do still think that Beyoncé/Alexandra duet is one of, if not the best X Factor moments ever. It is simply stunning and gives me goose bumps every time I watch it. |

I think Alexandra is a lovely lady and a great singer so I'm glad, too, that she has done well for herself in terms of both her musical career and now a caterer in theatre. Yeah I'm not sure if she would be an amazing Effie but if Amber leaves the show when her contract is finished and the show still wants a name in it, then maybe Alexandra could be brought in to play Deena? I think she'd be great and timings would probably work post-sister act?  |

I presume they'll extend the booking period once the show opens. Kinky Boots only had around 3 months on sale too when that opened but extended more. Sister Act is currently on tour until 27th August but more dates could be added. Alex could go into dreamgirls after that maybe or she could leave Sister Act early? |

Nah we were simply speculating and stating the fact that she would be good in Dreamgrls hence why it's in the dreamgirls thread. And we got into that topic because of the video of her singing Listen on the X-Factor. |
