Booking to March 19. (Sorry if we already knew this). I do hope they’re not going to flog this at the Savoy until it’s a shadow of it’s original fabulous self.
Get it out on tour.

Wondering about cast change.. Such an awkward date to get a new cast in for such a short run they'll renew in November for another 12 month contract. They'll just be releasing tickets a few months at a time, and if the time comes for it to close, it'll close! You should really add "if they don't close in November". Just in case it does decide to close with this cast. To add to any discussion of new cast, can we please get rid of the male ensemble and Tosh please and thank you.

Those of you still under 26 can see Dreamgirls for £25 on Tuesdays over the next few months. Young family member just booked through link on ATG Facebook page. Really good seats as well! Link for the lazy: po.st/TuesdaysAtDreamgirlsThey're really good, some of the expensive seats are down to £25 with this link. I managed to get a £70 seat in the stalls for £25 Marisha is on holiday so now is a great time to see Moya or Karen for those who want to see someone different! Do you have the specific dates for that? I'd love to finally see Karen!

The fall off since Amber's departure from the show has been kinda notable. Also, from my experience anyway going on two Saturdays this year, the fangirls don't seem to be returning quite as much as they used too, the audience have muted alot more since Amber left. There has also been serveral discounts available since then and especially since the beginning of this year.
I would expect the Savoy to become vacant end of this year/beginning of next.

My last visit was slightly disappointing. I couldn't put my finger on it but the show lacked something. It was not as "tight" as it was. The creatives need to return and kick some ass!

Stalls pretty much full tonight, can’t comment on circles but the audience is really responsive when they get going. Some of the moments that previously had applause and reactions fell short but I guess that’s a result of the Amber fan army not in attenadance now.

TodayTix had a lot of great £23 seats available when I was in London last week - I ended up centre of 3rd row stalls for a Wednesday matinee but there were also seats of the same price in the stalls for a Friday evening I checked, and a couple of other dates too. Worth a go!

Seeing a lot of people online who seem to be upgraded. I think your best time to go is the week rather than weekend to get upgraded or good offers for seats. I read somewhere groups booking into next year

I imagine ATG are waiting for something to replace Dreamgirls with before they announce it's closing, even if a show is limping along, a half full theatre is better than going dark

I they want to continue their run of getting the gays in, Mean Girls is easily the best option for this theatre. It would actually fit well here too, which is perfect.

Agreed meangirls would fit well here, also it’s an SFP production and she’s known for putting her shows here. It would be a good size (so would the Adelphi). I think Dreamgirls will tour once it closes.

I wonder if they would need to scale down the show a touch for the tour. Because its heavy use of tracks in the stage bringing stuff on, and those curtains made of crystals, as well as those four huge ass pillars with lights on them.

Well it's true but I can't say too much on the subject as I'm in the middle of suing Sonia Friedman. She came for tea. Two months later I see that crystal curtain at the Savoy. Coincidence? And really, the "front room"? I don't know what it's like in the Communist Soviet Republic of Sheffield or wherever it is in the north but it's the drawing room. The front room is probably the entrance hall. Or the little hut outside that The Help sit in when they've overstepped the mark.

^ I've just had a brilliant idea for a new musical.
After a chance encounter under the portico of St Paul's in Covent Garden, an unsophisticated and uncouth northerner becomes the protege of an urbane, pink shoe wearing Londoner.
Quick, book Drury Lane!

Heard the theatre has been evacuated for a fire.
Hopefully a false alarm and nothing serious.
