i think i am the only one who loved Deenas voice more than Effies voice (had Marisha and Lily when i went) O:) Wowwwwwww. I mean... Wowwwwwww.  |

With all this Lily situation, I feel like it comes across she don't care when she's onstage. I know she hasn't got a huge role but it is still a bigger role than say someone in the ensemble and they give it their all night after night. I couldn't hear what Lily was saying when she went on as Michelle and she just had no emotion and seemed not to care at all. My friend agreed when she saw the show a second night.
As for someone I know who saw Carly as Michelle, she said she was amazing too. Understanding everything and being so sassy. It seems a shame when the understudy gives it their all in maybe not a huge part but still delivers a good performance

I also don't think Lily really realises yes it his a small role, but it is a mjor role. It is one of the main plot points of the show when Michelle is brought on and is a continued point of conflict throughout Act II.

Technically shes not wrong. She was still cast as Alternate Effie whether she went on or not. I thought she wasn't in the cast list anymore whereas this article suggests she's still employed at Dreamgirls |

Its the use of the phrase "currently in the west end cast of dreamgirls alternating the role of Effie" in the press release though, perhaps they've not told her

"Listen" was incredibly epic. Oh my!
P.S. I just can NOT stand Lily Frazer. She's just so boring. She stands there and deliver her few lines looking bored.

Has Jocasta grown into Deena more? I saw one of her first shows in the role last month, and I wasn't overly impressed but I definitely think nerves played a large part in her performance. However, her vocals in 'Listen' were incredible and really held her own with Amber. And she was definitely a Beyonce doppleganger at several points during the show.
