That's so Amazon focused. I wonder how it will work on iTunes.

I pre-ordered the CD on Amazon a while ago - but so far I haven't heard or seen anything about being offered an early download of one track. Will see how this pans out.

I'm interested to see who is going to be cast in this in the next cast change? I presume it'll be a complete new cast?

I'm interested to see who is going to be cast in this in the next cast change? I presume it'll be a complete new cast? Well. Don't tell anyone I told you but I'm in it. I can't give any more away than that though as to who I'm playing. But let me just say that you, and you, and you, you're gonna love meeeeeeeeee. I'm eating 6 doughnuts per day to prepare. I got this.

I think Marisha could get the gig full time.

Does anyone remember Divine Joy Randolf? She played Oda Mae Brown in Ghost in London briefly prior to the opening of Ghost on Broadway. She would be fab as Effie. Get her back.

I think Marisha is going to get it full time too. I am sure the producers have her doing these side concerts, interviews, being the main woman talking on behalf if the cast at the Oliviers to get her out there as much as possible so theatre goers can become more familiar with her come November.

I agree and think she will become the full time Effie once Amber leaves. They don't need any more star names now. I'd like to see Candace Furbert bumped up to Lorell full time too, I thought she was great. But it'd be nice for Ibinabo to come back into the role too if she is feeling better? Maybe Lucy St Louis or Alexia Khadime as Deena too or bump up Kimmy Edwards/Joelle Dyson? I can't even think of any "names" that could join this show come to think of it? Not that they will need any

Having seen the show on Tuesday, I'd love to see Tosh Wanogho-Maud take over as Jimmy, he was brilliant.

So, finally off to see this on Saturday. A ticket came up for £50 on TodayTix that's usually £150 according to Theatremonkey (I hadn't realised premium seats had crept up so much...) so had to go for it. Obvs I'll have to make a return visit when Ryan takes over so thought it best to get in now.
Quite excited really. Also don't care too much if it's Marisha or Amber given reports on here.

Entertaining though a total mess. Kelli O'Hara keep calling Effie 'CC'

I saw this again last night, having seen it in January. Well Amber was spectacular and brought the house down with every scene, however, a bigger plus is that she is more emotional in her performance.
The rest of the cast are still strong and I don't know how the hell they do it night after night.
I hope this show goes on for a long time and it wouldn't surprise me if Amber now goes to Broadway to open this.

Also saw this last night. Not much I can say except wow! Everyone was amazing, I was lucky enough to see the full cast except understudy for Marty. I didn't think And I Am Telling You would make me cry like people said but it did, when Amber sang that last first I had tears in my eyes and I was pretty shook for most of the interval, she's just incredible. The costumes were breathtaking too, Amber's transformation in I Am Changing was a highlight, still don't know how they did that! Also shout-out to Asmeret, she can't have seriously only been there a month! Her characterisation was so perfect and her Ain't No Party was brilliant! This was everything I had expected it to be and more and Amber is now so much more than one of my favourite characters in Glee, she is a huge star who I hope has a long successful career ahead.

In Am Changing she is partially wearing one costume that has reverse functions. The "other" dress is the inside layer of what she is wearing when the song first starts. During the change, she detaches the top part of the costume which collapses, and reveals the inside layer. Kind of hard to explain technically, and I'm having difficulty explaining the mechanics of it!
If you liked it you might want to check out Laura Osnes's costume change in Cinderella during the Tony Awards a few years ago.

I saw it in Jan too and actually, and this might be controversial, but whilst Ambers voice was utterly sensational, and this was btw right when she came back after her illness and wasn't 100%, i had a little issue with her acting. Basically i did think it could be a bit more real and emotive. So it's good to hear she's putting more emotion into her performance.

Saw the matinee today. Loved it. After reading comments on here I was a bit worried I'd have people singing along or screaming, but it was actually the best behaved audience and ever, not a rustle or whisper to be heard! I think the two main male characters were both understudies (they were fine but not amazing, both out-sung by CeCe) but it didn't detract from the show. Never seen even the film and there were more good songs than I thought there would be. Amber Riley was also very good, perhaps not as amazing an actress as some, but she sang amazingly.
