I’m in Hampshire. Yesterday I was in Nottinghamshire. Well, come on lynette : don't keep us all in suspense - where's our peripatetic poster today? Home today! London, England 🤪 next trip Monday week to Yorkshire, then Northumberland. I'll keep you posted.

Excellent, lynette! Now, though I'm sure all this gadding about is theatre-related, if by any chance that isn't your primary purpose, do try to find time to take in some regional productions and report back.

I know i'm probably going be up all night watching the mid-term results back in the US. Like I said a few pages back I really hope prime Zodiac Killer and fake Texan Ted Cruz gets voted out. But, I don't have my hopes up.

And the train is already delayed Feeling your pain; In advance. Train booked Manchester > Euston tomorrow allowing an hour to spare to get to Waterloo for a matinee. Train Track failure today resulting in lots of cancellations with word of overnight work. Hoping it completes and doesn't affect travel tomorrow morning but won't know until I get up with the sun. Probably a sleepless night on the cards.

Rubbish. Had a sore throat and husky voice yesterday that has turned into me losing my voice almost completely when I woke up this morning. Pottered off to work in a call centre, thinking I’d give it a go. Got taken off the phones after someone complained about not being able to hear me, and I’ve been sent home from work early. With pay so that’s ok, it’s just rubbish cos I feel otherwise fine. Here’s hoping my voice comes back cos I cannot sit at home doing nothing I’ll go mad! I need to be busy all the time! This resting and relaxing malarkey is not for me!

Today in work we set up a fake forest and hung fairy lights.
I should have made the move to the visual arts YEARS ago if this is the fun they have over there.

But, I don't have my hopes up. Welp, it has been a very late night for me and I'm going to bed. It looks like totally human Ted Cruz won which I was mentally preparing for but, it still hurts. At least Beto has a bright future ahead of him and he made Texas Democrats finally feel like they have a voice in state politics. Besides Obama twice and a few city officials nobody i've voted for has ever won. But, like I said Beto has made people like me more hopeful and people like him start running.

Still poorly except I’m not really, in myself, I just can’t speak. And as my entire job revolves around speaking I’m struggling! Got sent home from work again today and if it doesn’t improve I may aswell call in sick tomorrow as nothing else I can do that’s not phones. I actually love my job, it’s not a proper call centre it’s an adviceline so I get all sorts and my days can be wild! My boss is super awesome and understanding about my situation which is fantastic, but I feel like a fraud, skipping work when I feel absolutely fine apart from my voice!! I’ve tried vocal zones and lockets and honey and lemon and steam. Only thing I haven’t been able to do is complete vocal rest. Any singers got any tips for me please??

I’m so sorry you are having the voice issue. That happens to me when I have too much citrus. Feel fine but can’t talk. Good luck. Sounds like your job is lucky to have you

I’m not a singer, but I rather suspect it’s the complete vocal rest you actually need.

I’ve not called in sick at work since 2014, I HATE calling in sick when I am poorly so when I feel otherwise fine I feel 10 times worse about it. Love my boss though, he’s a ledge. He let me take loads of breaks from the phones today and set me on filing and helping the admin girl, so I could rest my voice, but then she needs work to do too and there’s not a lot more I can do! Hate this, I ain’t no sick note!

Look, you are just not well enough to work. The bit of your body you use for your job has an injury.
The only way it will get well enough to work properly again is to rest it. The more you try to work with it injured the longer the situation will last. Take tomorrow and Friday off; read some books, watch some telly, do your Christmas shopping, go for some long walks. No talking. By Monday you’ll be well enough to work again because you’ll have had 4 solid days of rest.
If you struggle on at work tomorrow and Friday you won’t be properly well on Monday, and it will drag on next week.

Having a bit of a problem trying to convince Mr Tibs that the price tag on my new trousers is, in fact, in Polish Zlotys, not pounds sterling.
Current rate £0.20:1 Zloty - ie. £50 looks like £245.71.

My voice is almost back!! It’s at about 75%. I got sent home from work again on Wednesday and called in sick on thurs and today so I could get vocal rest. It’s been tough not speaking as I’m such a chatterbox, but it seems to have done the trick! Actually looking forward to work on Monday! Daytime TV suuuuuucks! Though I have managed to get a couple of afternoon naps in! 😁

Tired but happy after a very enjoyable 2 show day yesterday. Between seeing Rupert Young from the third row at Twelfth Night, and Ashley Day from the front row at 42nd Street, I've come over all unnecessary!

Yesterday started off so nice. Had to walk about a mile to get around queue for parade so I could get into Churchill War Rooms. More interesting than I thought it would be. Saw so much of parade also. Then off to Finborough Theatre for Bury the Dead. Really enjoyed it and such an intimate theatre.
Decided I would go by Leicester Square to pick up some noodles for dinner. Walking (legally) across the street with big group of people and POW, I'm on the ground. Some cyclist decided to go around a bus that was stopped for the light and just wasn't paying attention. He tried to pull his bike up and ended up the bike going one way and him going the other...right into me and another woman. Had to have some help getting up but people were so nice. He got out of there as soon as possible. People were so mad at him, and letting him know it. He's lucky he hit me before I got my noodles or I would have been running after him.
I thought "I'm going to be sore tomorrow" and was I right. Spent all day today at Westminster Abbey and now having a hard time getting around. Time for some more Paracetamol.
Have a few more hours to rest up and then Summer and Smoke. And interval wine.......
