Dear Male Members of Theatreboard, I love you all, even those of you who have a predilection for dressing up in fur....... However. Today is a Mary Poppins, tap-dancing beautiful day. Clear blue skies, birds cheeping, cherry blossom twinkling in the breeze, blubbery moobs boinging along the pavement.........you're kinda spoiling it. Put some clothes on. Please? (No offence)

A fabulous seven mile walk we abandoned two weeks ago when the weather beat us. (Blowing a hoolie and flipping cold too!)
Up to Nant y Moch, picnic overlooking the reservoir, sunny and warm, beautiful wild countryside, peaceful - bliss.

Driving home this afternoon I was surprised by a glider zooming over the road and only just clearing the trees. I knew there was some sort of airfield nearby because there's a windsock next to the road but I've only ever seen it in use once before.
I also had to make several emergency stops for pheasants. I can't begin to imagine what sort of selective pressure made pheasants think that a good way to deal with the threat of an approaching vehicle is to run back and forth directly in front of it, but it seems to be their strategy of choice.

Awful
Have been trying to move all my room contents into a 1/4 corner of the room so they can start building works on Monday Bedroom decoration and bathroom replacement Flat is full I mean FULL of bathroom items Exacerbated by my mother who has come to supervise the job as I have only got random days off
Which should be helpful and I am sort of grateful as someone can be in at all times with the builders But have it rammed down my throat at the same time So just feel really annoyed and trapped
But in trying to move the room contents got really overwhelmed as been at work all day and haven't got enough leave to take weeks off at a time
Then had to listen to insults from her about how useless and pathetic I am and that everyone has to go to work- that's no big deal And listen to various episodes from my past dredged up
Then felt really guilty as I have so many clothes and material things I haven't had a massive clear out in about 10 years which I am now realising is quite stupid to try and do all in one evening Spent loads of trips back and forth to the oxfam bank in the dark just throwing items away at random in desperation
I am not sure how I am going to survive 3 weeks
You would think I had done something illegal
It should be something positive
Okay building work is always going to be stressful but it's short term pain for long term gain
I seriously feel constantly on edge like I am waiting for My execution tomorrow morning
I shall try and use ignoring and deep breathing methods
Thank GOD at least the weather is fine

This weather is ghastly. It should not be this temperature at the beginning of April. I was boiled walking from Menier to Dominion & then Dominion up to Kings Cross. I've nearly finished my 3rd 600ml bottle of water in 11 hours & I'm still coming back from London with a headache.

On the one hand I agree entirely and hope that it returns to coat weather post-haste and the sun disappears back behind some clouds, but on the other hand the stars have aligned perfectly that tomorrow I could feasibly spend a day sitting in the garden with a book and no disturbances, so if it could hold on until at least tomorrow evening before cooling off again, I don't suppose I'd mind too much.

Deep breath, Parsley. Parents can reduce anyone to an apologetic child.
First night in ages that I slept really well. I shall ignore the world for today, so off to the cafe to read the Sunday papers and then nip to the park with a schlocky novel. Perfect Sunday,

I'm spending the day sitting indoors with the curtains drawn in relay to keep the sun out. I really, really don't like hot weather! Plus I have rosacea so have been told by the doctors to avoid too much direct sunlight, which fortunately accords perfectly with my own views on the matter. I sometimes think I must have vampire ancestry!

Keep popping in and out to see or rather feel if it is still hot. It is.

Oh really? I'm pretty sure I have that - and I caught the sun yesterday. I guess I shall have to try harder to stay out of it. It might depend on what type you have. I think different types are triggered by different things. I've never been very good with the sun anyway, I go pink & blotchy rather than tan, so I tried to avoid too much even before I got diagnosed with rosecea. The BBC have kindly informed us that Cambridge was the hottest place in the UK today at 2.25 degrees. Just my luck!

I guess I should really go to the Dr and get a proper diagnosis.

Oops... TodayTix 24 hour sale on Glass Menagerie means my nice leisurely Easter weekend is now turning into something of a theatre break! Already had 42nd Street booked Friday evening, now GM Saturday matinee (Stalls TM green zone for £5 with code!) so spending some of my Grand National winnings on a hotel rather than shuttling back and forth. So, just something for Saturday evening now and I'm done!

I used the highly scientific 'pick by name' method... a childhood cat called Arthur is therefore to thank for my luck on this occasion! And thank you

Well, I've had a surprisingly wonderful day, spent with my sister in law, niece, great niece and great nephews at Manchester airport viewing park. I don't see a lot of my great niece and nephews so it was wonderful to engage with them, sharing family stories, making new ones, laughing and talking. Two of the youngsters told me how much they liked seeing me in pantomime which touched me no end. Sorry if this sounds a bit smug, especially if you haven't had a good day, but for me,a good day!

ah, hulmeman, now I (think I) understand your user name, which I had mistakenly heard with an emphasis on the middle syllable of 3, rather than consisting of 2 only. I still have fond memories of visiting the Aaben cinema in Hulme, though both the cinema and the district have long since vanished.

I went into town after work today to pick up by new glasses. An hour later I had also acquired a pair of shoes, a handbag & 4 very large & heavy books & had to phone my mother to pick me up as I couldn't manage to walk a mile to the station carrying everything!
Lest anyone thinks I was being stereotypically female buying shoes & a handbag, these were necessary purchases because my current flats are so worn they leak like mad when it rains & my current handbag has worn all the surface off the underside of the shoulder straps. I believe in using clothes until they really have had it. I'd rather spend my money on theatre tickets & books.

Still suffering from jet lag - badly. Attended a conference in Spokane, WA last week. Checked out of the hotel at 3.50am on Saturday for a 5.50am flight. Landed at Frankfurt airport at 4.45pm on Sunday, arrived back home at 6pm. Forced myself awake until midnight and slept until 12pm Monday only to not be able to sleep tonight - it's 4.25am now and I'm still awake.
