The poor love's only been gone five minutes and her room is already the 'spare room'. Stop whining - It could have been the 'lodger's room.' At present I thiefted all personal info from your device. Wow! 😱😱😱You steal the prize for the crappiest day. Scumbags.

I miss the good old days when the scam e-mails we received were asking us to kindly help Nigerian royalty get their fortune back. Much more pleasant and polite than this kind of stuff.

I've gone and done another video about London, if anyone's interested. There's an obvious omission of the Charing Cross Theatre, which does have a mildly interesting history. Join in below after the video if you're gonna watch:
The bit that I'd add for the board is that there was a fun link between the Hungerford market and the Charing Cross Theatre. Carlo Gatti (widely believed to have introduced ice cream to the UK) sold ice creams and cakes in the market towards the end of it's life. When the station was built he leased out two floors of the undercroft and opened The Arches, probably best known as the Charing Cross Music Hall, which many iterations down the line stands as the Charing Cross theatre today. I just enjoyed the fact that he managed to make a bit of history in both versions of the sites 19th century use.

I just bumped into Kylie coming out of her gig at Gorilla in Manc which is along my street. I could say I’d been to the show and she was amazing but in fact I was coming back from The Sound Of Music at the Palace, via Sainsbury’s for a bottle of gin and a quiche haha. I got it on video but I’m not sure I can be fussed to put it online. The ruckus between the paps and security was more interesting than Kylie.

My day started okay. Hanging out with my nearly 4 year old daughter, and trying to get some of this semester’s work done for Uni. It went downhill last night though once I got to my last netball game of our summer season. Part way through the second quarter, I came down heavily while going for the ball, with the front of my right knee going to say hello to the court. It’s still pretty sore the morning after the night before, so trying to walk around is pretty interesting at the moment, but thankfully no breakage or dislocation.

What's the polite, professional way to ask your nearest co-worker to please stop farting and shouting?

What's the polite, professional way to ask your nearest co-worker to please stop farting and shouting? Walk past them with a peg on your nose, and noise cancelling headphones over your ears?

What's the polite, professional way to ask your nearest co-worker to please stop farting and shouting? "I've bought doughnuts for everyone who isn't farting like a police horse. Oy, you. Hands off."

Been waiting for the tickets I won for the Mousetrap Theatre Projects 21st Anniversary Gala to arrive. They just did. - Pushed through the letterbox - just the tickets- no envelope or anything with my name & address on. I suppose they must have been delivered to the wrong address & someone opened it. Lucky I got them at all I suppose. The post here is atrocious. We have a different postman & time every day. On occasions we don't see a postman for days. Husband did say there was a knock at the door but he was standing on a chair so ignored it.

Note to self- never listen to Little Shop of Horrors before you are going to get a filling.

Suggest you offer your services to them.

I'm pleased to hear that the deadline for PPI claims is next year, meaning there's only another 17 months of wanting to punch the television every time the Gladstone Brookes advertisement is on.

only another 17 months of wanting to punch the television every time the Gladstone Brookes advertisement is on. True. Though that'll give you more time to want to ram Michael Parkinson's free sodding pen down his throat.

Slightly eventful walk home - I live on a busy 4 lane main road that is on a junction with a dual carriageway exit. There's only pavement on one side at the end of it. And as I was walking up the hill I spotted an elderly lady on the 'wrong' side of the road. I scooted across, and with the help of another lady and man who had stopped their cars we got her unstuck from the brambles, and managed to stop the traffic and get her across to safety.
Luckily she was unhurt, and was fully aware of her surroundings (on the way to her myself and the other lady worried she was lost, or similar) but she knew fully where she was but had just ended up a bit 'stuck'. So we got her onto the proper pavement and let her and her shopping trolley be on their way. So much for a quiet stroll home!

Very interesting video, thanks Andrew I used to travel into the old Charing Cross station (now Embankment) for work in the 70's and used to walk up Villiers Street every day but think there is only the Villiers pub at the end of the street and Heaven that are still the same now! It was interesting to compare it and see how much it has changed now.

Steady. I'm from Yorkshire, tha knows!!! Skills! So can you help me too pleased?! I'd like to see 'Northern Exposure', 'Pacific Drive' and 'Eldorado' again - all blasts from my past and hugely enjoyable at the time. Those last 3 words may apply specifically to NE and PD!

Ended this week with a fun and exciting evening...a theatre season launch with a play of mine in the season. Thrilled (and a bit daunted) to have one play programmed and another commissioned. Gulp. Get writing Em.

Not bad today. Scored myself a ticket for Opening Night of Wizard of Oz here in Adelaide. I already had a ticket for the previous night. I'm so far out of the theatre loop that I didn't even know that members of the general public could attend Opening Nights - I stupidly thought that Opening Nights were only attended by celebrities and the like, but once I discovered my error, I got straight on and booked my seat. Can't wait to walk the yellow brick carpet.

Ooh! Cue Theatreboard outing? Though so far, despite searching, I can find no details of tour dates/venues... Oh indeed do come on down! (I can’t put you all up but I can buy you a drink) No dates yet as venues not 100% confirmed/signed off. But mine is likely November so plenty of notice! (And re-write time!) The company had a total re-brand for this season and if I do say so myself they’ve done a really great job with the posters!
