Glad you're ok dippy . The other day we took the dog to our vet for her annual booster jabby thingy. We also got a repeat prescription for Tramadol for when her back goes into spasm. The vet also checked her benign lipoma. She also gave us some Diazepam to get her through the New Year's fireworks. She then took on the total carnage that is nail clipping (a new vet to the practice so she didn't actually know.....) We were in there for a total of half an hour. So what did all this cost us? £44.50. Seriously! Including all the drugs. I honestly don't know how they do it. I thought I'd mention it as I do go on a bit about how much it costs for a plumber to tut at my u-bend.

I finally booked flight and hotel for Angels-related NY trip with Mum. Win!
Two hours later I realised our chosen dates include the day I had Fun Home tickets. Lose! In fairness even if I had noticed it wouldn't have changed our plans as obviously the logistics of show/flight/hotel etc took priority over one set of cheap theatre tickets, but points for observation there... (on that note see advert hopefully appearing on Noticeboard soon).

In my hotel watching Quincy M.E. on one of his crusades, and in no hurry to move anywhere.

I thought I'd mention it as I do go on a bit about how much it costs for a plumber to tut at my u-bend. I have recently ran into my first plumbing related problems as a homeowner. After putting in a valiant effort of "I CAN FIX IT!", I realised I would have to disassemble the whole damned thing, so decided to make it someone else's problem. Turns out, two of my former colleagues have plumber-boyfriends. I need to get one of these. Long story short, the lovely lad came over, didn't let me describe correctly what the problem is, fixed the wrong thing, fixed the right thing and asked for £40. A Christmas miracle.

oof we had a fun one Boxing day...burst water main nearby which mean no water from first thing until around 7pm. It was also a perfectly miserable day weather wise so venturing out for long stretches was also not palatable. The water company have at least offered a £50 bill rebate in return.

At least the lad was lovely, michal... I’m guessing Tibs’ tutting plumber was far from lovely...! He can be as lovely as he likes Caiaphy. If he tuts at my stop-cock I begrudge him every penny of the hundred squid he's charged me to do so! Just taken delivery of new washing machine - I have to keep going to check it's still working as it's so quiet - reminds me of when I had to keep nudging my second baby awake as I couldn't believe she could sleep for more than 30 minutes without bawling her head off! I won't be saving the planet any time soon though. The eco-programme takes an eye-watering 4 hours 44 minutes....😵😵 Get warm soon @theatremonkey.

Just taken delivery of new washing machine Well that went well. Did the first load of washing and opened the door to The Dreaded Shredded Tissue all over everything. Did the usual rantage at the fam and they all agreed it was definitely the dog, as usual. Nope. Can't blame even Waggy Tibs for this one.......wasn't actually a tissue. It was the AEG instruction manual.

Ah yes, I remember it well... first the washing machine, then the telly, then the woman in the post office. I reckon it’s time for a trip to the audiologist, Tibs. Hearing aids for me now... 😔

Haven't left the house all day due to the snow. I may go bumbling through it just for some adventure once I'm done with work.

One more day at work to survive this week, might find a show to go to tomorrow night to cheer myself up!
On a completely different note, @theatremonkey I've been trying to access your site for 2 days now and it isn't working - is there an issue with the site or trying to access it via a particular browser? Trying to get to your incredibly useful day seat page!

How strange, it's Chrome I've been having issues with - on two different computers! It won't work on Microsoft Edge on my laptop either, whether I type the address in or Google it!

I've just joined a gym. Good lord... On a similar note I had a disastrous run this morning- had numb feet from stepping in an icy puddle about 10 yards from home. Then I tripped over a branch which somehow flicked backwards, hitting my foot. Lesson: running is dumb.

Chickened out of getting a musical theatre tattoo today. But on the bright side I've packed to go back to University on Sunday.

The line "no day but today" from Rent. Didn't hurt at all. I'm getting a Wicked tattoo, I chickened out of the consultation purely because there was an awful lot of people in the shop when I went for it and it was rather intimidating when I myself only have one tiny tattoo on my wrist. I'm still gonna get this tattoo, just not as soon as I'd like.

I was happily sitting in my stalls seat yesterday. Two women in front. My seat was perfectly off-set, so as they were looking together at a mobile phone it was as if they were presenting it for my viewing pleasure. They were browsing a lingerie site.
First they looked at a selection of bras for well-endowed women. At which point I looked elsewhere.
On glancing back, they were on to a selection of very skimpy knickers which resulted in a lot of head shaking. I checked out the theatre décor.
I glanced back again. They were now on to a selection of seriously huge knickers. This resulted in much more positive and detailed discussion.
One of them finally managed a selection and purchase before curtain up.
Women’s lives are full of complicated choices. Thank goodness as a man I don’t have to fret about these things. I just stick to my leopard print posing pouch – sorted! [Incidentally, do any forum members have recommendations for ointment for chafing?]
