I don't see why Yerma couldn't transfer. West End theatres can't really accommodate traverse staging, but they can't accommodate round staging either and that didn't stop things like Curious Incident or This House transferring. Pick a side to be the front, plop a glass box on the stage, maybe rejig a bit of the blocking, away you go. You could even have onstage seating for a bit of a traverse feel. There could be a real issue with wing space for scene changes, but they could work it out I'm sure.

But isn't the Ben play not going on sale till may? Prob won't b that much a scrum for the others?? That was my thought too, But I was too afraid of being screeched at to say so. Indeed you are correct:
"Booking for Against will open in May 2017. More information will be sent out closer to the time." with references almeida.co.uk/spring-2017-season
Hopefully such proof stops either of us getting screeched at (though I wouldn't put money on it)

Although agree that the scene changes would be tricky.

Reading everyone's tales of booking trials yesterday, I'm feeling slightly less extravagant for splashing out on a Friend's membership to access priority booking. There were enough things I wanted to see (Yerma being top of the list having missed it last time round) that with the discounts it only cost me an extra £15 spread across 5 tickets. And the way work was yesterday, I'd have had no chance at all in the melee.

I booked a couple of shows during the Friends booking, but wasn't sure about How To Win Against History, especially as the tickets were £20 for the date I was looking at. However, had a change of heart so went on today (short queue about 5 - 10 minutes) and looked at booking again. Noticed that all tickets are only £10 for the first couple of performances, so that decided me and am going the first Friday. As may have been mentioned on here, both Nina and Yerma seem to be sold out, but looks like there are tickets for most other things.

How to win against history is in preview for that dates, it's what I've done as didn't want to pay £20 but people here seemed really positive so thought at £10 could give it a whirl, sadly there on the sat or could have waved at you Foxa.

Peggs, we were thinking alike. I wasn't sure booking so far in advance for it at £20, but the reviews on here, plus the possibility of £10 tickets swayed me. Sorry to miss you!

And after yesterday's debacle, I've just had an email from the Young Vic to inform me that the new season is on sale..
EDIT: in their defence, I just had a look on the site out of curiosity and found myself at number 850 in the queue, so I guess plenty of people needed the reminder.

Would really help if you could see approximate availability - eg just "sold out" or "limited" for individual productions without having to join queue, possibly in vain.

Got my Yerma tickets as a Friend, thought I'd wander on now and see about How to Win at History, and I'm no. 1113...

I've been in the queue twice today - both times the "countdown" has frozen, I've had to reload the web page and start again. Currently number 453

It's just farcical - even the NT new season booking is nothing like that & the NT has more spaces & surely a much larger public?

Tried and failed to get tickets for Yerma, but I notice that the Young Vic website now says it will be on NT Live in August, so I guess a trip to the cinema is the best that can be done!

Yes, I presume the queueing software has been bolted on to an ageing website and booking system. It's not ideal but better than the days when the site would crash totally.

I'm amazed it's still going two days later. Once again I just want to look something up, what are the 169 people ahead of me in the queue doing?

Hoped to book for Yerma but it's sold out - going to keep an eye on the website and hope for returns.

I came home last night to emails from Almeida and Young Vic telling me the season was now open, just as well everyone on here tipped me off!

The system I found to be pretty reliable and fair this time round.

One wonders if they hire extra server capacity for the first day and allow extra numbers on which they stop paying for on day 2/3 and decrease the amount of people allowed on the site. Maybe that's why there are still weirdly high queues.

From my experience on day one they certainly don't have extra capacity, or if so, still far too little.

Maybe that's why there are still weirdly high queues. My assumption is the queuing number they show you is just a number, not the actual accurate number of people. On the whole their system seems fair but it is stupid to restrict access to the entire website, they should put the booking part on a separate server, and also the payment system seems to be compromised by the server arrangement they have, it hung for ages after I had paid before returning me to the main website for confirmation. However, this is all much better than the Almeida who at one point had the payment system on the same server as the booking system so you couldn't actually pay for seats in your basket. I have some thoughts on the NT Friday Rush approach and limitations but I won't share them because I want to retain my edge when booking against you.
