I don't ever listen to Eurovision songs in advance. I like to hear them for the first time on the night. Me too. I don't watch the heats either. I think it's all got a bit stupid. One competition One night that's all thank you.

Will she be able to get time off from Rent to tour Europe promoting the song? She was on Graham Norton Radio 2 today and said that the producers are working around the Rent schedule to allow her to perform for Eurovision. So guess she will be missing some shows.

Everyone else other than Lucie was horrendously flat so perhaps she was the best choice; but the song hasn't got a hope of winning.

We could submit a song/artist that had been No.1 for 10 weeks in the UK and Europe, and it still wouldn't get anywhere in Eurovision. Politics, all politics, and everyone hates us.

I wish these programmes would stop showing winners or high scorers from other countries. They serve as a masterclass in how to do well - a great song, performed well by a performer that can sell it to the audience and innovative staging. Then present us with our choices, dull songs sung by performers who cant project beyond the end of the microphone. Or in Lucie's case, someone who can sing but with the dreariest song and performance imaginable. We don't have a prayer at winning anyway but it would be good to see us making an effort.
Mind you, the program was pretty appalling -found myself reaching for the mute button everytime CeCe was asked to speak. Or should I say yell.

Lucie was on Grahame Norton's radio show yesterday. First guest on. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00tw2b9She's carrying on with the tour, Rent have been "great". In the interview she wasn't sure about the origin of the song which was a huge fail. It's a SONG CONTEST love. Seriously, you would think these people would be briefed.

All the songs were dreadful and seemed to be composed by a committee of at least 4 or 5 people! I couldn't help thinking that Lionel Bart wrote whole musicals single handed!
The performers were not much better than the songs. Lucie Jones the best of the bunch - some seemed incredibly nervous and pitchy! We clearly don't take it seriously, the thought of winning and having to stage the show must send the BBC execs into financial crisis! The order must go out on an internal memo - "Under NO circumstances should we win this".

Looking at the response from Eurovision fans round Europe, it would seem that the song is going down well.
Which is actually what we need it to do.
I don't think it is a winner (and I think the block votes will keep us on the right hand side of the board) - but it is being seen by people as a credible song for once

She was on BBC this morning telling the interviewers that fans are calling for 'slight changes' to the song... One interviewer commented, "So they didn't like it that much then!" The producers/BBC are addressing the points raised on social media apparently.
I bet nobody asked for Boom Bang A Bang to be fiddled with after we voted for it. Those were the days...

Brexit means all of Europe hates us and they'll show it in the voting. I feel a bit sorry for Lucie because it doesn't stand a snowball in hells chance.

What a cringemaking programme that was. Bland songs, awful singing, annoying judges.
Lucie clearly had the best voice, by a mile, and the song seemed promising, but it was one long intro and I was waiting for the main theme development, but it never arrived. Really hope they work on it.
