I also have a lot of credit vouchers. I am hoping that, at the very least, it will be possible to use them in the bookshop should there not be things I want to/am able to see in the period during which the vouchers are valid.

I have 10 cancelled performances. May have lost track of the vouchers but I'm sure it's all tied to the account/membership.
When you think of everything that's been *lost* or pushed back it's quite a thing ..

She was on Andrew Marr this morning as well. Nicholas Hytner was also on and said theatres' Christmas season wouldn't be happening. |

Is that a 'hierarchy' concern? It seems more like common sense: FOH are the ones who have close, face to face interactions with hundreds of members of the public from all over Britain/the world every day. They are therefore in the front line, the most at risk of picking up the infection. It takes a few days to become apparent, during which time they could be unwittingly transmitting it, so it seems wise for them to avoid sharing facilities with actors who can otherwise remain in a safer bubble (though surely actors etc. were also told not to visit the bar too?).

Just got my bookings for July processed. Got a credit voucher for part of the transaction because I'd purchased the ticket with a credit voucher. However, in the email alongside the voucher code and value, it has an expiry date of 31/12/2021. I didn't think NT credit vouchers previously had expiry dates... I'm not desperately concerned given it's the end of next year, but given the uncertainties of when theatres will be operating again and the health implications of visiting them, it's a disappointing change of policy. That is interesting, NT never used to put expiry dates on credit vouchers. I wonder what their total value of credit vouchers outstanding is ? Years ago several airlines didn't put expiry dates on air miles credits - they ended up with massive amounts outstanding which would have been literally impossible for them to fulfil if they had ever been cashed in, my guess is that the NT are in a similar situation, when they re-open they don't want too high a proportion of "non paying" customers. There used to be a bit of a secondary market in NT credit & gift vouchers, you could buy them at quite a nice discount on eBay from people who had cancelled big one-off theatre trips or who had received them as unwanted gifts. An expiry date would depress that market too, which I assume the NT disapprove of anyway and is possibly contrary to the T&C of the vouchers. |

What do they expect the NT/South Bank to do though? I don't imagine they are particularly relishing making so many staff redundant - it's hardly a situation that they've chosen.

Well, they haven’t actually got any money yet from it, and the distribution hasn’t been settled, so I suppose it’s possible that the NT doesn’t get any government money (although I accept that is less likely than Rufus Norris directing The Mousetrap) |

In a way this just makes me sadder. This is obv. much better than losing the production altogether but I was so looking forward to this.
In related news; I had an email exchange with the box office: credits in my account now for **ten** cancelled productions.
