Thanks Anthony - though if we go ruling out school nights we'd be left with the carnage of hen parties and the weekend suburban invasion! I used to brave a late night for David Bedella's monthly gigs at The Alley Cat and struggle through Fridays on set :-) Granted I don't have the kids to worry about.... Hope it happens. Sounds like it would be a lot more fun than the BWW crowd. Do it anytime which isn't a weekend and you'll only get the people close enough to London to travel and TheatreBoard is a much wider community than that. I think it needs to be on a weekend so those who live outside of the M25 can make it.

Yeah us lot from the 'Suburban Invasion' (I quite like that title I'm going to adopt it) can only come and play on weekends...

A lot of forum members may be seeing Rachel Tucker's final performance in Wicked on the 28th of January so that might be a good date for people to meet up?

Regardless of date/time/venue, it won't be possible for everyone to attend, so I think it'd be worth people going ahead and arranging more than one get-together if they are able to. Plus there are some of us who are interested but who would prefer a smaller group anyway.
I agree that for some people, attending might be easier AT the weekend, but again, for those ready to arrange something, don't wait for the rest of us - just do it and others might join in once they see it's really happening!

This has been mooted for weeks now and not one single person has made a concrete suggestion.
It won't happen.

I'm up for the weekend of Rachel's last show in Wicked. Not yet sure if I am going to the show, but I will be in London anyway.

From the Wicked thread it seems lots of people are going to cast change on the 28th (unsurprisingly). I'm busy during the day but will be around the Victoria area pre-show, and then there's obviously potential for an interval meet-up for those of us who are going to the show!

Sounds like Saturday 28th is looking good!
We could aim to have a meet between matinee and evening for those doing both, and those with no matinee could arrive earlier if they wish/those with no evening show potentially stay later!

I'll be in London from around 12 that day. The trains from Stansted aren't running that day so I have to bus it. I don't have a matinee booked just yet but I'm still considering one.

Will order a couple in the next week or so Please allow plenty of time for TheatreDust to get them out to you. If you're planning to meet on 28th I would get your badges ordered right away to avoid disappointment!

Sounding really promising now - good luck with the plans and hope you all enjoy it!
If I'm in London, I will be seeing matinee and evening shows as usual (though not Wicked) and should have time in between. Only reason I haven't yet booked is that a colleague where I volunteer is organising meal out that evening and changed the date for me because I already had theatre booked the previous Saturday. So the least I can do is wait a to see whether his plan goes ahead (and whether there will be trains if not), but otherwise I will certainly be having my customary day's theatre-going.

I can't make that day but would be interested in future ones. Also I know nothing about Wicked (and don't want to in case I do ever see it) so wouldn't have much to say haha.

Oh the irony. I live in London and can easily travel to Victoria where Wicked is playing but am not available that day.
Next time.

Theres clearly some of us in town every saturday so it should be fairly easy to coordinate and over time a fair number of us will meet up

Don't lose momentum guys, where's the meeting place on 28th and between what times? And do you want an indicative "show of hands" to get an idea of how many might turn up?
It's TheatreBoard's first birthday this month so it would be lovely to see a meet up happen.

I will gladly go for either noon or 530. Ideally in Victoria area. Happy to aim for wetherspoons which is nice and local for those going to the show but can get very busy or any other suggestions for meet up location

When you have ageeed on the final details I can pin the thread and run an announcement on the news ticker if that would help.
