What time will this historic event begin? I will be going to the Old Vic to see R&G but am prepared to try if the timing works. Have I said this Already? If so, please still tell me the time. Around Noon and then after matinees so around 5pm

The Understudy Bar is open until 1 a.m. on Saturdays, so plenty of time to get, er, 'refreshed'.

On my most recent coach journey to London, we had a last-nimute relief driver who didn't know the access approach to Victoria Coach Station so we passed it at the scheduled time and then made various circling attempts for the next forty minutes. WHOA! FROM CARDIFF? I was on that coach. I can't believe for a minute that wasn't the same coach! National Express Friday 27th January, 12 noon. I was with the woman at the front with the walking stick. There were 5 of us chatting together, having seen Donny Osmond the night before.

First, a possibly Portuguese young man with a map on his phone went up to attempt to assist the driver. I was seated nearly halfway back and could faintly hear him talking to the driver so I then realised that the driver didn't know the route - I'd originally thought that the route was blocked by roadworks. So I then went up to the front and talked to the driver and the first passenger wthdrew because he had no knowledge of the route, except for what he could see on his phone. Unfortunately I was still under the false impression that roadworks had blocked a crucial turn so I was trying to advise the driver to go round another way. However he was tracking himself on his own phone and following his own hunches and we eventually went up the roadworks road which was when I realised that he hadn't known the correct route at all.

Oh blimey. You stood next to me. We were at the front as my friend has disabilities, she rarely travels, has anxiety attacks; she was starting to freak out, her partner is also disabled and she needed to get home to Fulham. Another friend had to get back to Essex for her kids getting out of school. Twice round Sloane Square, up and down Eaton Square ... I did make a complaint to National Express, they've given me a voucher for a free journey somewhere. They are also taking action against the driver who was using his phone when we were on the motorway (in slow traffic) and all the way through to Victoria. A hairy moment when he did an illegal right turn into Chelsea Bridge Road. Stood next to me. Well I never.

If only someone at National Express had told him the approach route ... !
I assumed the roadworks in Elizabeth Street had prevented him turning right into it when we first approached. So when we finally got back to Buckingham Palace Road, from our Pimlico tour, I advised him to make our second visit to Sloane Square because I thought he needed to go up to Grosvenor Place and then come back down Buckingham Palace Road, past Victoria Railway Station, from the other direction.
So I was a bit annoyed when he turned off Eaton Square and it turned out that Elizabeth Street was open all the time!
I didn't think to complain, so I didn't get my free journey.

As is commonplace Southern will be attempting to make this challenging with engineering works.

National Express drivers permitting, I plan to poke my head in, arriving after the matinees and departing in good time for the evenings. I won't actually be attending any matinee because I can't cope with two shows in one day. I don't possess a badge. Just a cheery smile and benign outlook, usually.

People should totally take photos and then post them on here! Surely - unless you are joking - only after seeking and receiving others' consent? As not everyone wishes to have that high a public profile.
