The running time, according to my local cinema, is 164 minutes (2h, 44m) total. Was it this long in London?! That seems really long, I don't remember it being that long in London? Often cinema don't have exact running times for event cinemas. I would guess there is an intro of sorts and a break of 20 minutes.

I was going to go but looking at the clips posted upthread I’ve changed my mind. I don’t think it’s translating that well. I mean, I don’t think Sheridan is translating that well.
Going to see Halloween instead 🎃😈

I was planning to see this but can't, anyway I noticed on the poster there's a skyarts symbol , so maybe it will be shown on there if no DVD is released. Hope this is helpful to people . Good spot. Theres also a Digital Theatre logo so it could end up on there for streaming.

Has there been any mention of whether or not they will release a DVD/Blu ray of this at some point? Really hope so as it's not playing at any theatres in my area. There has been no announcement, but the recent trend has been for these cinema performances to not be commercially released. These cinema showings are often not available in smaller markets so it's a real shame if they wouldn't consider a DVD release at some point down the road. I'm sure I'm not the only person that would enjoy seeing these but due to location they are not available.

Royalties are likely the reason we rarely get DVD/Blu Ray releases of musicals because they simply don't sell enough to justify the cost.

Just out of the cinema. Loved it, and thought Sheridan was amazing.

Absolutely adored it. As did the very full cinema, which created a great atmosphere throughout . A thoroughly marvellous evening.

I agree, just got back from seeing this and loved it. Having never seen a production of it or even the Streisand film I didn’t know what to expect but it was good fun. Kinda wish I’d seen it on stage now

Well I just loved that! Saw it three times on stage, once at the savoy and twice on the tour and this showing really bright back the joy I felt every time. It really is a fantastic piece. Sheridan as always steals the show. She really puts her heart and soul into every performance and deserves all the praise she gets.
Fingers crossed for a DVD release!

Smashing, worked so, so well from stage to screen. Great camera work, didn't miss any of the good stuff which is a problem I have with the stage/screen stuff usually. Wish it could have been a little louder but otherwise excellent. Full cinema (one of the smaller screens). Dear Lord Darius is handsome as all heck! Love how Sheridan plays her part, or was directed to play the part. No stick-thin glamour puss, no perfect coiffure. Very human. Loved it, kept my attention throughout. Bit weird seeing other people in roles, saw it numerous times in London, missed Joel as Eddie Ryan.

Ah how lovely. Does this mean she's back on social media again? I must have a look.
For those having a nose and didn't go, in the 15 minute interval between acts we had Darling Darius at the Menier talking about how he'd auditioned for the part, and stuff. When I say "stuff", I know I heard him and saw him saying it but jeez those chocolate brown eyes and that jawline .... (middle aged lady moment). The woman next to me at the end said "Isn't he handsome"! It is (was) fully Sheridans show, but Darius looked very well in the part last night on screen.

And if you forgot until it was already ten minutes in, they're repeating it super early on Christmas morning.

Not sure why but my picture isn't very sharp on this, almost like it's coming through a weak internet streaming service and not sky satellite

Mugging and overacting. This isn’t the performance I saw. How disappointing.

oh it completely matches the performance I saw at the savoy. I'd hoped I'd misremembered but sadly no

I'm enjoying it. Whilst Sheridan is indeed mugging at several points, there are some genuine points of empathy and emotion that come across genuine and lovely.

Darius is understated and fine. Sheridan is playing adult fanny pretty much like child fanny and the idea that he would be attracted to that seems a huge stretch.
