Are day seats one per person, or will they let you buy two? You can get two.

My dad was able to get a top price single stalls seat for tonight (Fv £71.50) for £25 at about 1pm. Looking online there are a few odd ones dotted about which have been "dynamically" priced. Was this on the ATG website, Mark?

Just listening to the cast records on Spotify. Good grief she is as flat as a pancake on those big notes in The Music That Makes Me Dance.
Surprised they didn't stick some autotune on it.

By your own admission in another thread, you think you might be going a bit mutton. Sure it's not you?

Thought you didn't like Sheridan in it. Mind you I lost the will to live a long time ago on this thread so quite possibly I have got people mixed up. Anyway I like it and forked out the cash to buy a copy.

I've said several times in various threads that I think she sparkles in the role. I loved the MCF show I saw all that time ago and despite never liking her on telly I totally "got" her for the first time when I saw her live. Shes still as flat as a pancake on that recording though.

Hang on a minute... We've got two completely different opinions on Sheridan's vocal on the Funny Girl CD. We couldn't see either of them coming. Who is right? There's only one way to find out: FIGHT!

EDIT: This is in response to the fight message, it would be much appreciated if mods could put that in the quote, which doesn't seem to be working on my computer. Thanks! Mod edit: Done /Mod

One post unrelated to Funny Girl moved to the Sheridan Smith thread in the Performers & Creatives section.

I think the album would have been better if they had done a live recording, it lacks something. Sheridans vocals are not 100% but let's remember this was recorded around the time she had the rumoured breakdown. Plus the production team clearly didn't care what it sounded like, since it's got a lyric mistake on it! They knew Sheridans name would be enough to sell it anyway!

I totally agree it would've been better to be recorded live in a show. It does lack the atmosphere. Even though I love the music and the way it is sung, it would've been so much nicer to have heard the audience participation in the background. For example, in rat-a-tat-tat,I think it lacks atmosphere because the laughs from the audience aren't there, which I think would've sounded better. I loved the Legally Blonde and Kinky Boots cast recording and the fact they were recorded live, made it even better

I got the Funny Girl album yesterday and surprised at the negative response, I personally love it. Then again, I was a big fan of Sheridan in the show, so that could be why. Not a big fan of live albums. I have the On Your Feet album, which is live and it does not sound good at all. I loved, loved, loved the show, but the album just didn't sound right.

I am quite intrigued in this 'lyric mistake'. Before the album was released I had two versions saved on my spotify, one was Ruthie Henshall and the other '100 best songs from the musicals' artist listed as Bob Merrill. Both different. The latter is the same as the OLC 'Cos I'm a drummer', Ruthies as suggested 'My heart's a drummer'. Having looked more into it the majority of the other versions including Barbara and Michael Ball go with Ruthie but there are versions matching Sheridan also. So perhaps it isn't a mistake but a genuine variation.

Having seen this again last Thursday and noting the comments here I had a good listen for what she sang in this number.
And I had such a bloody good time I've bloody forgot.
I *think* it was - cos my Hearts a drummah - sang pretty fast.

I think Sheridan may have sung the wrong words because the line before "...my heart's a drummer..." ends with "...I'm a comer..." so it's an easy mistake to make, repeating the previous line and changing the last word to "...drummer...".

I certainly feel like I would've noticed if the lyric was different, I was very aware of other changes or variations in that song for this production. I think it's just different for the CD

I just saw this for the first time ever and wow, what a show! Sheridan was amazing. I must admit I was a bit nervous after all the hype, but she really is fantastic as Fanny. And she made me cry at the end!
