Problem is, whoever signs it will be irrelevant as you won't be able to read it due to the watery smudging mixed with mascara and eye liner and maybe a little bit of powder too...of the eyeshadow kind of course 🙄 !!

You can't sniff the sleeve inlay of a download George! Do you not feel the need to own a 'thing'? 😃

It's bad enough that buying music doesn't involve a glistening slab of black vinyl and fantastic cover art anymore...the tangeriney smell of inside an album sleeve...but is just clicking an icon on a screen...how times have changed eh?

Instead I just pay on iTunes for the songs I want so I'm still technically buying the songs Most importantly, I want to own the recording so that I can see what I spent my money on. Also, if I (somehow) lost all my data, I can easily restore them from my original CDs. I can also browse the booklet. And lastly, all the CDs (>1,000) in my shelves just look nice.

Albums are created as a whole the same way that a show is, and you used to spend time listening to the whole album, eventually leading to the discovery of your faves.

Or eventually leading to the discovery that the only track you like is the one you already own as a single and the rest of the album is crap.

This is not a drill people, the full Cast Recording is now on Spotify!
I'm glad they set up some of the songs with the dialogue or the music prior to the beginning of the song. So with Don't Rain On My Parade, they have the dialogue before it included rather than just begin the song.

Sheridan sounds great on the recording! It has a real quality of what it would sound like in the theatre, rather than simply a recording of the songs. The dialogue works well as well as the instrumental music so I am glad they were included to build up the numbers. I am really happy with this recording!

Recently I've been buying downloaded copies of cd's but this is definitely one that I will get a physical copy of. Especially if I can get it signed by Ms Smith.

Waiting for mine to be delivered by Amazon today (£9.99 pre order guaranteed price). Normally purchases appear in my Amazon Music but this hasn't. Anyone know how this high tech stuff works?

I have all my musical theatre cds in their own section and I love to glance at them occasionally. You can't beat a nosey through cds and books when you are at someone's house. Tells you a lot about a person. Not the same if you ask them for a browse of their kindle or ipod.

Top five from the album has got to be 1) Overture 2) Henry Street and 3) who taught her everything 4) happy people 5) bows
Warning!! Sensitive Sheridan fans please avert your eyes now!
My opinion is that the majority of the rest of the album is awful, flat and nasally.. Parade and cornet man were particularly painful. The album which was studio recorded and I assume gave Sheridan the opportunity for at least a couple of attempts at each song only highlights her vocal weakness - this I imagine was the best they could get.. God knows what audiences hear every night.
I'm sure lots of people will buy the album and love it and that's nice.

I usually prefer it when albums are recorded live in the theatre (Kinky Boots, Legally Blonde etc.) because you can hear audience applause, laughing etc and for me it just has a nicer feeling than a studio album. Just my opinion

Wrong lyrics? Is this amateur hour?

If the wrong lyrics made it onto the recording, that isn't Sheridan's fault at all. It is the fault of the producers who are supposed to pick up on thst kind of thing.

Wrong lyrics? Is this amateur hour? It is a bit of an oversight! I do wonder whether this was perhaps recorded pre/mid breakdown and they weren't able to re-record it due to Sheridan's 2 month hiatus..
