I can't resist the casting, so I sort of have to see this. But even with American Express priority booking, I could only find cheap tickets at the very back of the Olivier. There are worse theatres to be at the very back for, so I booked one anyway, but I fully intend to trade it in for a stalls ticket at a similar price if the opportunity presents itself. Will definitely be popping into public booking on Friday morning, see if that helps!

I am hoping for the next booking period. It's not playing when I am in London in March.

NT is insanely expensive now. I gave in and booked for this but at the cost of not booking for several other things - and it better be good...

According to the new brochure, Olivier prices for Twelfth Night are unchanged from the previous few non-Travelex shows.

According to the new brochure, Olivier prices for Twelfth Night are unchanged from the previous few non-Travelex shows. Exactly. Stupidly expensive.

How expensive is stupidly expensive? I really want to see it, but a London trip isn't cheap anyway...

Best seats, centre stalls. Limited availability. Their definition of "limited" being most of rows E to L. Book now! Book now! Before we have to reduce the price!

Their definition of "limited" being most of rows E to L. Book now! Book now! Before we have to reduce the price! Yes. It is unclear whether their dynamic pricing algorithm is able to reduce prices for duds rather than just increase them for hits. Friday Rush is a good option for this one I guess.

NT brochure: "Prices may change according to demand. Book early to ensure the best seats at the best prices."
That seems to read fairly clearly that standard prices will not be reduced in any circumstances but may increase later if there's high demand.
Of course, if there's low demand then there may be ticket discount offers, made generally via various outlets or targeted by email and post. But the standard ticket prices won't be reduced.
In any case, I repeat my earlier point that the prices for Twelfth Night, as published in the NT brochure, are exactly the same as for all other non-Travelex Olivier and Lyttelton shows in recent months. I don't understand why people are specifically complaining about Twelfth Night prices.

I've been complaining about NT price hikes for ages; but each new booking period reminds me anew of how annoyed I am about it!

That had to be the easiest booking experience ever! A wait of about 90 seconds to three minutes (depending on device), then straight in to get £15 stalls seat on the first date I tried. Hooray! (I may not be as enamoured of the booking experience next time if I end up number 1,000 in the queue, of course...)
