Am I right in thinking Mike Colbourne hasn't been on for any of his covers yet? His IG story has made me wonder about this - there seem to be a few covers on today and he's not one of them. I know all the others have been on for at least some of their cover roles.

Revisited this yesterday- long awaited having had to change the tickets twice. I actually feel I lucked out seeing Jennifer on as Bobbie- I'd have loved ot see this many times, but if I could only see it twice, I'm glad I got one of each Bobbie. I adored Jennifer, shes' different in many ways, maybe not as cold and removed as Rosalie, and more a 'don't mess with me' hard 'shell' instead to keep her distance from people. But she's also sweet an funny and really really endearing. And I do much prefer her voice- first of all it's a gorgeous gorgeous voice, but there's a power behind it that Rosalie's doesn't have which works really well for Being Alive, there's a real 'kick' to it.
The other understudies were also brilliant and I'm sure that mixes up the energy a bit which is great. Miss Patti was on fine form, I think sounds better than when I saw it in October, she's really giving it some oomph that's for sure. And honestly, Ladies Who Lunch feels like her sitting there going 'you pay attention now while I give you a masterclass' then does, drink in hand. And lights up a cigarette after. And I feel lucky to have seen it.
I am so happy I got to return to this show. It means so much, in ways I've already said many times, but it's also a beautiful masterclass in putting together a musical, and it's been a great ride. I'll drink to that.

How extraordinary. Rosie to me couldn't seem less cold or removed (the last time I saw her as Bobbie she was singing Being Alive through very palpable tears, and I would imagine a "removed" Bobbie is the last thing Marianne Elliott would want), and I never warmed to Jennifer at all, tireless though she is in performance (nor does Sondheim's score sit very easily on her voice). Gavin Spokes also greatly missed yesterday -- his Harry is one of the many unspoken anchors of this terrific production. Patti for her part gets better and better and better. So do quite a lot of the supporting men.

No I think you misunderstand what I'm saying- I'm not saying she's cold or removed as a performer, but that her 'choice' as Bobbie in keeping people at a distance is to be 'cold' or 'detached' (as is the plot of the musical- Bobby of either gender keeps people at arm's length to a degree) while Jennifer plays it more as 'I'm tough and I don't need people' it's just a subtle choice of how to portray what's in it, rather than a comment on their acting. Both of them perform 'Marry Me a Little' and 'Being Alive' with great passion and emotion, which is probably precisely the point, cracks in the facade that we all portray and all that.

Guys.. Can someone remind me. Does Company begin with a screen showing Bobbie's friends texting her? Or did I imagine this? Just trying to do some research.

No, it's starts with Patti LuPone making an announcement terrifying people that if they use their phones during the performance...she will jump off stage and kill them! Hehe sorry couldn't resist!

can we convince Patti to buy it Only if she's had a total taste bypass, I'd say. Obviously my retaining my employment where that belongs to one of the artists I work with prevents me from commenting on that.

I'm sure if you just change your user name to eminewport, they wouldn't suspect a thing. BTW, if you do have an accident with a duster at any time... Don’t even joke about it. In a room filled with glass and ceramics and me like a bull in a china shop I live in constant fear...

Somehow I almost loved this even more the second time around! Brilliant seats in the dress, could make out all facial expressions and everything. And Patti was a marvel as always, she gave a completely different take on Joanne to when I last saw her, she’s just one of a kind!

I saw it on Saturday for the second, and probably last time. What a production! I was a bit disappointed that Jennifer was covering the role, because I really wanted my boyfriend to see the Tick Tock scene, but to be honest, not seeing it doesn't affect the performance at all. Jennifer was great as Bobby, she has a very strong voice, although I felt like it took her a while to warm up vocally in the songs. Patti was amazing and she sounded so different from when I first saw her in November. I'm so glad I got to see her again. Every one else was brilliant. And I'm rally happy that my boyfriend (who is not a big theatre fan) said during interval that he really likes the show and it might be one of the best shows he ever saw with me.

I’m planning to see this for the third time tomorrow. I just want you all to know that I had never seen a show more than once before I joined this board SO I AM HOLDING YOU ALL JOINTLY RESPONSIBLE.
Now then. I have never dayseated in my life. Didn’t even know it was a thing. I’ve checked out the monkey’s site so I think I am reasonably well prepared (Kendal mint cake, foldable chair, personal lady urinal, carpet.) I would like to sit in the dress circle rather than the stalls. Do you get to express any preference on seat location when you day seat? Is it worth not being first in line if I don’t want front row?
Any Company dayseat advice for a noob?
