How have people been finding getting "dayseats" for £25 a bit later on at the box office? Say 1pm ish. I've noticed the sign still out advertising them, so have they been available? It may already have been discussed but I wonder if the box office day seats are another section or what hasn't sold for that performance? I've seen this twice now and been unable to see the orchestra so would like a chance at that!

Box office day seats sold are all available from the front row back, in order, so no "anything a little further back?"

And Mel Giedroyc doesn't. Life is sometimes terribly, terribly unfair.

In a rare occasion, there are still Rush seats for the matinee today The rush seats must have sold by the matinee started as they were full. I saw the matinee today and really enjoyed it. I've seen the 2011 concert with Neil Patrick Harris in the cinema but I think the changes they've made have brought it up to date. Cast were all excellent especially Jonathan Bailey who gave a showstopper with Getting Married Today. The Dress Circle Box are a steal for £19.50 each, there is a bit of leaning for a few scenes but it's only a minor niggle and you can see the orchestra in all their glory.

Something I forgot to mention but I think Company might be one of the first West End shows to have product placement as the character have Starbucks cups in a few scenes. Had I not noticed Starbucks is a partner on the show in the programme, I would have been none the wiser.

Well the gods have been kind to me today. It's a rather significant birthday for me today and all my friends seem to be busy so I was going to be "Billy no mates" but thanks to Today Tix managed to secure a rush ticket for tonight. So Bobbi and I can celebrate together.

I'm a Delfont Mackintosh member but somehow never received that email, which is frustrating!!

Mel was off tonight. Only just realised it would have been for Children in Need.
The theatre was also raising money for it and it was nice of the cast to give Mel's understudy (unfortunately I didn't note her name) an extra round of applause. She was very good.
The box at the rear of the Dress Circle does provide a good and unrestricted view but as theatremonkey advised the legroom is tight. I'm usually not fussy but I was uncomfortable by the end. Perhaps £30-40 would be a more reasonable price.
Also, it felt a little quiet from there. I also felt this in the stalls previously and it made me wonder if the mics could be a little louder? I understand sound design to the extent of knowing that the cast should project and the mics only assist but each time I have wanted a bit more! Maybe a creative decision as I doubt it's something that Elliot would overlook.
Still love this production though and get something different from it everytime. Good ol' Sondheim.

Well I shared my birthday with Bobbie last night, although I have a few years on her. Sat in Row P stalls, 2 rows in front of last time and great view, could even see a bit of the orchestra. Couldn't see any major changes from when I saw it in previews. As mentioned above understudy was on for Mel who was doing Children in Need and she was very good. But it did highlight to me what a great comedy part Mel plays in this even though I am not generally a fan of hers. Jonathan Bailey and Patti raised the roof as expected. Seeing it the 2nd time made me realise how complex and brilliant the choreography is, especially in Tick, Tock and Side by Side. Also cramming themselves into those tiny rooms and not bumping into each other.
Couple of interesting conversations I overheard in the interval. Woman in front of me who was something to do with the production was talking to a couple of friends also in the business said that it was "rather clunky" tonight. I didn't notice but I guess she would know. There was a slight but noticeable set malfunction during "Not getting married" but I didn't notice anything else. Also heard a man say to his wife "I don't understand why people are laughing at everything". I think this has been mentioned before by a couple of other people on the thread but I have to slightly agree with him. Some people were laughing at lines in some of the songs that were clearly not laugh out loud lines and wondered what that was all about.
Anyway icing on the birthday cake was at the end they were collecting for Children in Need and I got Mr Bailey on my staircase, so I mumbled something rather embarrassing about it being a wonderful show and threw more money than I should have in the bucket before scuttling off. He was very gracious, bless him, smiled and said thank you very much.

After what seems like a lifetime, I finally got to see it at today’s matinee. What Marianne Elliott has done with this production is absolutely fantastic and really did exceed all my expectations. The flipping of the characters worked for me and allowed the original book to have a new lease of life that felt relevant for an audience in 2018.
As others have said, both Patti and the ever delightful Jonny B really were a delight to watch. Having seen JB in both the York Realist and now this, he really is the gift that keeps on giving isn’t he? Two absolutely fantastic performances, but his rendition of “Getting married today” was an absolute pleasure to watch (it had me in stitches right throughout the number, not only because of him but the vicar as well) and for me one of the highlights of the whole production. What can you say about Patti? The lady just ozzes class and makes everything seem so effortless. It was great to see her live on stage and definitely a memory to cherish later on in life. I loved her preshow phone warning.
I actually enjoyed Rosalie Craig as Bobbie and thought she sung the part well. I must admit I was really surprised with Mel G. I didn’t know what to expect, but she came across well and her early scene with Gavin Spokes certainly got plenty of laughs. Richard Fleeshman certainly didn’t disappoint ( that Act 2 scene should have come with a health warning in particular!).
The orchestra sounded great this afternoon. I really do hope we get that cast recording soon. It’s definitely one I want to get another chance to listen to.
A great afternoon at the theatre

Would love to go again, Patti's website gives her Company dates only until 22nd Dec, anybody know if this is the case please, or is she doing longer? Patti’s website isn’t always the most up-to-date. I don’t know for certain, but I suspect she’ll do the whole run. I’d be amazed if they recast just for 3 months. The chances are that the whole cast will go until March, I’m guessing.
