Yes to all of this, but you’re making more intrigued by who the Jason Momoa like one is a swing for. Clearly I need to do more research.

It’s definitely Ashley Campbell. He told me at stage door that he’s wigged. I think Ashley is underrated in this production. He makes something of Peter.... otherwise I think it would be an odd character.

Patti walking with evident difficulty last night at her (excellent) q-and-a at the Haymarket. Hope the spasm in her back doesn't throw a spanner into the last three weeks of a triumphant run, though from what she was saying, she has a full arsenal of medics and healers at the ready!

My record of always getting understudies was once again untouched when I saw the show on Saturday afternoon.

Were the rest of the cast understudies when you saw it? No? Just Patti then?

That makes me wonder, what is the highest number of absences they could have and still perform? What a wonderful show that would be! (I only had 2 covers the afternoon I saw it)

I think it depends on who the absentees are. If Rosie and Jennifer are off, there is no show, if two people are off that are covered by the same swing, there is no show. But theoretically, they could cope with five people being off, provided it's the right combination of five people. And I guess someone playing one of the main characters would have to serve drinks in Ladies who lunch in that case.

Or they could get a freelance swing in for the day, fairly easy to track in a few hours I'd imagine.

I love seeing covers (though am glad I got to see Patti as never seen her!). Would be a scary show knowing there are no covers left! I know we're going off topic but I've loved seeing an adult female Gavroche and even the choreographer going on in Billionaire Boy! Still waiting for a Witch Switch though!

Don't know if it's been mentioned but the CD release has been brought forward from the 29th to the 22nd!

Yes, Patti was on yesterday. It was the full cast. It was my fourth visit, still as good as the first.

Has anyone sat in both the Grand Circle and front Stalls? I’ve sat in the front stalls and the centre circle. I liked being up close for the facial expressions, but you get a better overall view from the circle. Enjoyed it even more at the front of the stalls, though, personally (and it was a much cheaper Day Seat!!)

Does that now mean every understudy will have gone on at least once?

Yesterday the gods of the theatre aka TodayTix gave me the centre of row b in the dress circle for 25squid.it was my third and final visit.
The show and the production is truly wonderful. Great to see it again after listening endlessly to the recording and having read the new script. It was like visiting an old friend.
Tonight is Follies. I do find it important to see the works of Stephen Sondheim in alphabetical and chronological order, don't you?

So this isn’t being filmed and issued somehow? I’m in love with the cast recording but it’s not the same. It would be a huge loss if this were to end up nothing more than a theatrical memory... I know that’s how things are supposed to be, but screw that. I want to watch it on demand.

I know that’s how things are supposed to be, but screw that. I want to watch it on demand. There were some rumours initially of an NTLive broadcast but they died off pretty quickly. There was also talk of a doc of some description being filmed, involving the production of the cast recording, but not sure where thats at.
