I was there Saturday and i didnt think it was half as hot as it had been previously. I did notice a few people fanning themselves towards the end of Act 2, but it was alot cooler than it was for Titanic. Aircon fitting commences next week I understand.

Does anyone know why there was a show stop in the second act last night? Have you emailed or made contact with the theatre to find out?

Does anyone know why there was a show stop in the second act last night? I really don't think it was a big deal...

Does anyone know why there was a show stop in the second act last night? If you were there, you know as much as I heard from a friend who was ... that there had been an incident back stage. Said friend tentatively concluded this involved Andy Coxon as Mitch did not appear at the start of the number before the stop and had blood on his sleeve when it re-started.

There was no 'incident' - I was there and the stage manager said he had a nose bleed, which would explain the blood on his sleeve. Probably the heat if you ask me!

In the name of pedantry, an 'incident' is simply a happening, an occurrence... and it seems a nosebleed occurred, so 'incident' was an entirely accurate description

Sadly I think I'm going to have to miss this. My friend's back from Australia at the moment and I don't know where and when I'll be seeing her yet.

I didn't say there was an incident I simply said there was a show stop in the second act which was correct! It is rare that a stage manager had to come out on stage and stop everything in Act 2 when most of the cast are on stage! It seems they had to improvise the lyrics as they were missing Mitch! Such talent!

Such talent! No, it was me who used the word in replying to you! And both the show stop and the root cause nosebleed can indeed be described as 'incidents' in the literal meaning of the word, so I stand by it But back to your point - such talent indeed. Very glad to have seen this - tried to get back again (taking advantage of the recent excellent offer) but diary was too full.

I booked tickets last night but haven't received an email. Is that due to the Box Office not being open? I would've thought it would just be automatic.

Saw this tonight. 6 out of 5 stars. Oh it made my heart fly! A fully realised musical with the talent to back it up. Singing was on point throughout. Each character felt necessary and real. Andy Coxon stole my heart as Mitch. As a young gay person it made me reflect on my own romantic relationships and the future. It made me realise how far we've come, but also how very very far we still have to go. Much of the homophobia in the musical is still experienced today, it just isn't punished anymore in our part of the world. The ending made me very sad, I wanted to shout and cry but I remembered how to be a civilised theatregoer. Hopefully can squeeze in two more performances before it closes. I saw numerous OAP straight couples, I wonder if they truly knew what they had bought tickets for before it started! Haha

Well, I'm a straight pensioner (can dispense with the "old" part of the term), seeing this tomorrow evening, and I know what it's about. If, as I understand, it has an engaging story and enjoyable score, this show should surely have as broad an appeal as any musical ticking those boxes?

Also saw this last night and what a gem of a show. Lovely story and a superb cast. Andy Coxon as Mitch. What a beautiful voice. Handsome too. Should also mention Scott Hunter is Stu who was on stage pratically for the whole of the show and was excellent. Loved the score and the style fitted I so well with the period of the piece. I would say it was a out 80% full last night which was great to see. The friend I went with who is not a huge musical fan said he would happily see it again before it closes. And tap dancing soldiers. What more could you ask for!

I had high hopes of this, but it was disappointingly tedious, so that & the stifling auditorium made me bail at the interval.

I'm the first to complain about a hot theatre but was surprised to find that it wasnt as hot as I thought it would be on Thursday. It was warm but not uncomfortable.
