Hmm, well maybe it isn't working now. It was certainly letting me select tickets to some shows at 6am this morning. Not that I went through all the way to actually buy them as I was just interested at what the choices were.

Might be a stupid question, but I just booked tickets (as I can see on my creditcard statement) but didn't receive an confirmation email, and I already forget for which dates I booked the shows haha! Any idea how I can track that? It just takes some time for them to send out the email. #waitforit My friend, who owns Mastercard, got me a nice £40 Matilda front row ticket! So happy!

Whee, I tweeted them and they fixed the Kinky Boots link. Ticket choice is utterly underwhelming though.

Unsurprisingly not much in the way of actually decent discounts, but I did manage to get the RSC double bill at the Haymarket for £40 in total, so not a total waste of time I guess.

Whee, I tweeted them and they fixed the Kinky Boots link. Ticket choice is utterly underwhelming though. You're not wrong! Either the locusts have already been through, or the allocation was always awful... Most of these shows you can get cheaper at Tkts, so I reckon I'll hang on and buy there instead next year! Vaguely tempted by the £30 Dresser seats, but for another £2.50 at Tkts I could get a much better stalls seat... Ah well, saves me some money for Christmas I guess!

If I recall correctly there's an allocation for the MasterCard booking and more tickets are released for public booking

Possibly! I was distinctly underwhelmed by Row P for Kinky Boots which they offered me at 10am before locusts had a chance to be through. Will rather try for front row day seats some time.
I did get Row A in the Dress Circle of the Coliseum for Giselle though, which I think is pretty perfect for a ballet. After more than 20 years of musicals and drama in London this is my first chance to see a ballet in London, so I'm excited. I quite love classical ballet but it's another thing impossible to enjoy in Germany and I usually feel that I can't add even MORE to my slate during London trips (same reason why I still haven't set foot into the ROH).

I booked 6 seats for Beautiful - row O in the stalls seemed the best option. Maybe better seats will be available for public booking, but since I need 6 it was better to get in early.
Other than that, though, fairly underwhelming options.

Comedy About A Bank Robbery for me, haven't seen it since early previews.
I've found myself with at least 4 sets of tickets for stuff in the past, not so much this year. Was looking at Half A Sixpence but seats offered seem pretty far back and not that cheap. I'll hold out I think.

Doesn't anybody have suggestions for what I can book under this offer?? Ideally musicals but also plays. Thing is I have seen the majority of the musicals on this section. All the good shows that are coming out next year all open in Feb/March which is when this offer end!

For plays, Glass Menagerie or one of the RSC / Chichester Shakespeares

I hadn't even bothered looking at Matilda given the ticket allocation for other shows, but after your post also snagged myself a front row for a re-visit. Not been since original cast days.

I got a few tickets on MasterCard priority last year, but got the best deals (including 4 tickets to Matilda on a Friday night) once the public booking opened in December. I agree, the few shows I've looked at so far haven't had great seats. I got Row D/E of the dress circle for Les Mis a couple of years ago; this year it's Row J for the same price.

I've got my selection down to either: 1)Play that goes wrong/Pan goes wrong 2) Aladdin 3) The Lion King
I know Aladdin isn't on GILT but I would try to find some cheap tickets.
What's the best option for a family?

What's the best option for a family? Depends the age of the family (how young is the youngest?). I haven't seen Lion King in the West End but the tour show didn't make me want to run out and buy tickets to see it again immediately. It is pretty much the film on stage with a few extra songs. The spectacle of the costumes is good, but unless you are sat in the stalls near an aisle I wouldn't bother personally. Of course it sells well and rarely has cheap tickets, so if GILT are offering front stalls seats for cheap then it's not a bad shout. Aladdin I wasn't enamoured by. I wasn't that taken with the lead or Jasmine and felt the show only had oompf when Genie was on. Play That Goes Wrong would be my pick of thr three listed as it remains the only show that actually made me cry with laughter. Peter Pan is good, but it will br on BBC over Xmas so not really necessary for a theatre outing if there are other things to watch. Personally I think you should still try and see Comedy About A Bank Robbery before it closes though.

The thing that really bugs me with GILT is that you can only see the seating plan of the theatre before you choose which price level you want. Then when it tells you the seats it's offering you, you can't access the seating plan anymore. Am I missing something?

They've added a 'chat now' feature and I was strongly tempted to use it and ask them that same question!

I just speculated that it would close when Play That Goes Wrong goes to Broadway. Of course I hadn't bothered to check when it was booking until or when Broadway opened, so it probably won't close. I've been a bit out of the theatre loop. It's why those who assume make an ass out of you and me.

Bank Robbery announced an extension into April 2017, and with TPTGW opening on Broadway in March 2017, there'll be a cast change at Bank Robbery and it'll continue running!

Would people suggest seeing Aladdin but sitting in the seats up in the Grand Circle or seeing either TPTGW/TCAABR using GILT and sitting in better seats??

I know this has been discussed before but I am in the process of looking at tickets for Christmas and I need some advice - I am the most indecisive person ever!!
It's been Comedy about a bank robbery or 42nd Street (using The Stage Tickets discount). I'm really not sure what to pick. I think part of me is swaying towards comedy more - is that right? I've read mainly good reviews on it and I love a comedy but is this actually funny funny or funny silly because I don't really like stupid things? I'm not overly keen on 42nd street if I'm honest - other suggestions would help too. Like I said I wanted to see Aladdin but tix are so expensive
Someone told me Wicked but I saw that 5 years ago and it'd be nice to see something new?

Now that The Red Shoes has had such overwhelmingly good reviews, I realise that this would have been the only GILT show in which I might have been interested this year, even though the offer applied to Sunday evenings only, which is asking for (even greater) trouble, train-wise. However, of course it's sold out, as are all the other dates and many others on the subsequent tour.

There is still good availability for The Red Shoes in Wimbledon, not far from London and cheaper than Sadlers Wells of course

Thank you, Daniel - I did look at Wimbledon and Woking and may have to opt for one of those, but being more central makes it easier to fit in a second play/show and a film. Also, though the Woking theatre is fine (if inconvenient), I really don't like the New Wimbledon much.

After procrastinating about this for ages, I finally booked something.
Was torn between TPTGW and TCAABR but in the end I booked for the first one. Just after researching both and watching videos I thought goes wrong seemed more funny compared to Bank Robbery which could be seen as too silly for me. Annoying though as wanted to see original cast but hey it's swings and roundabouts.
Has anyone sat in dress circle before? Good seats?
