I hoped against hope it would be running the same time as Sarah Brightman’s “Sunset”, so I could see it again.

It has been listed on MTI for a few years now but I think it might just be available for the USA. I can’t see them scrapping a London or UK return just yet especially after the success of last year’s Old Vic revival and the Melbourne production that’s just opened.

I can’t see them scrapping a London or UK return just yet especially after the success of last year’s Old Vic revival and the Melbourne production that’s just opened. The MTI page has it listed as Restricted in the UK/Ireland, Australia/New Zealand, and South Korea. Not sure why it took so long for it to become unrestricted in the US, although there have been a few regional productions that must have received special permission. I also wonder if the 2017 Broadway or 2023 Old Vic script/orchestrations will both be available. There are aspects I prefer about each.

With the Olivier award nomination for Best Musical Revival, now would be a good time for the Old Vic to tell us that Groundhog Day is returning for a limited season or a west-end transfer...
