I’m starting 2018 in the best possible way by heading down to the NT for Follies tonight!

Off to see The Grinning Man & Everyone's talking about Jamie - then The Ferryman early next week. I've been a theatre goer for many years - 1st production Big Bad Mouse in 1967 - usually doing 10 to 12 per year - but still don't understand the pricing of tickets! For Grinning Man the same seats ranged from £30 - £90! (I wonder which I brought??)

Follies and Barbershop Chronicles at National tonight and Thursday and the press night for Into the Numbers at Finborough.
I've had a bit of break as I find winter knackering but I am trying to gradually get back into reviewing and just enjoying plays again.

Tonight I shall be at the Nash for 'Network' where I shall be looking forward to seeing Michelle Dockery use all of her expressions from bored through to mildly surprised.

I am going to...
cut my toenails
&...
Hamilton on Thursday with Mrs Lovett's Meat Pie (RIP).

An American Paris for Saturday Evening. I'm hoping to get a rush ticket for Ink for the Saturday matinee since there's nothing left on ATG, failing that I may start the year off well and go for 42nd Street as, whilst I want to see Glengarry Glenn Rose, I'd rather save that for an evening and have a shorter wait before heading to the Dominion.

Tonight I shall be slumming it in Sloane Square for 'Rita, Sue and Bob Too'. With the subject matter of the play, I'm stunned the Royal Court are putting it on. To be honest, I'm surprised they didn't think of pulling it.

After years of trying finally got the golden ticket to a recording of Just A Minute.
2017 was poor year for the BBC recording lottery which seems to have recovered this year as have also bagged a ticket for the TV recording of an episode of The Upstart Crow later in the month.
From a theatrical perspective the quiet January continues with two productions, The War Has Not Yet Started at the Southwark Playhouse and Belleville at the Donmar.
