Monday 27th: A Christmas Carol (RSC) Thursday 30th: Imperium Pt 2 Friday 1st: Imperium Pt 1 I know Imperium is wrong way round but is only way I can do it this week. Seeing both in a day 3rd Feb so get it proper experience Do let us know what you think of A Christmas Carol! I've only been able to get tickets for January, but still looking forward to it yet also concerned that it will have strong competition from The Old Vic's version which everyone seems to be raving about. Will do, it's a hard one to choose between. I've not seen the Old Vic but i'm rooting for the RSCs because of the adapter and casting. And because Twelfth was so bad I'm praying at least one good show in the RST this Christmas

I have free tickets to see La Traviata, the opera, in Glasgow on Thursday and I'm not a fan of opera but its free so I struggle t say no to a theatre trip that costs me nothing.

Tomorrow I shall be heading back to the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse to see 'Romantics Anonymous'. Now I did in fact attempt to go to see this before but had to bail rather quickly as I had what can only be described as, a gut like Gallipoli. Here's hoping my bowels settle nicely for the second attempt.

Here's hoping my bowels settle nicely for the second attempt. Recommended cocktail for the occasion: 1 part gin, 1 part angostura bitters, 1 part Imodium – lemon and ice to taste. Shake well, serve, enjoy, remain in rushing distance to nearest facilities.
