Tonight I shall be at the Jermyn Street Theatre giving 'Instructions for American Servicemen in Britain'. I've seen a film like that once. I don't think they were real servicemen though.

Have fun, @ryan - hope you enjoy the audience participation, which took me by surprise, but was for once (imo) fun.

Audience participation you say? I sense a new post in the Bad Behaviour thread coming . . .

Folks any tips for fringe-y stuff on Sunday...considering sticking around for a show in the afternoon.
Likewise, give me a poke (not literally, well...) if you're about the Nash or vicinity on Saturday...

I am doing exactly the same as last week. Being at my production of Love's Labour's Lost for week two of the run. Hopefully the weather will be kinder. Outdoor Summer Shakespeare is so much better when dry!

Double Angels week. Be still my heart. NT Live on Thursday, and then double show day on Saturday. Aren't you at this point exceeding the maximum ticket allocation?

I have my rearranged Committee on Thursday afternoon, to which I am looking forward a great deal. Might hang around for a cheeky Wicked afterwards and a late trip home. Might watch part 2 of Angels in the cinema (may not, in the interest of saving some little surprise for when I finally get to the National next month).

Double Angels week. Be still my heart. NT Live on Thursday, and then double show day on Saturday. Aren't you at this point exceeding the maximum ticket allocation? My original ticket was a last-minute purchase from someone who couldn't attend, this ticket is my own purchase, my final show in August is my Mother's purchase (there is no limit on accompanying someone to the show). But thank you ticket police, should you wish to report me to Rufus.
Not that I wish to turn this into a debate about ticket buying, but I'm hardly a Hamilton-scalper level person. And I am far from the only person on this board alone seeing it more than once.

TBC, exceeding the ticket allocation is something I very much approve of!

I feel marginally guilty. But then I think 'Angels come but once a decade' (usually) and resign myself to being a bit evil just this once...

So now I know why I can't book a ticket for love nor money! Yes my 3 tickets are clearly the downfall of the system...
For what it's worth I think the NT's system is as fair as these can be. Yes, I 'abused' the system to buy double the allocation by 'buddying up' with other people. But that still only allows me to buy 4 tickets total. It was more down to savvy ticket buying on the onsale days I was luckily lucky this time, plenty of other shows I'm not.
Like above, its hardly Hamilton level scalper levels.

I'm sure you're not the only one, people are more than likely attending more than once that we don't know about. And hey, I can hardly blame them. Given the opportunity I would do it, too. There have been many opportunities to book returns and such since the run became sold out, with lovely board members alerting us to their presence regularly. If people haven't booked who were desperate to, it's nobody's fault but themselves. (I can confidently say this as I was one of those people... until the NT live shows went on sale).

Tonight I shall be heading to the Park Theatre to manhandle Adam Garcia in 'Twilight Song'. I jest of course. I'm going to the theatre to see the play.
I'll manhandle Mr Garcia by the bus stop outside.
