EEEK! Got the grumpy bear error message when I first clicked on this link! Scare-REEEEE! I will NEVER mess with him! Anyway. First ever visit to the Choco Fact on Thursday (I know!) for She Loves Me. (Second row - they wouldn't let us leave an empty seat at the front, but we might slither down there if no one's bought them.) Friday - Tango Fire at Sadler's Wells (Peacock.) The bits on EUtube look amazing and we're in the front row!

After all the dramatic and serious film fare lately (see individual film and "How Was Your Day?" threads), I feel in need of something undemanding and cheerful. So I am heading for the provinces to see a matinee performance of a play with an embarrassingly downmarket title (but 4-star reviews and it has returned following its original success and this time is going on a small tour), followed that evening by a revival of Low Level Panic at the Orange Tree. I have never seen the latter play though the title was familiar from early in my theatre-going days.

Death Takes a Holiday at Charing Cross on Friday to catch James Gant as Death.
Also possibly Thoroughly Modern Millie in Brum, but only if a discount appears. They're not even offering TheatreCard discount for tomorrow night, and I'm not willing to pay the prices on offer.

Also, intrigued to know what you think of James Gant in DTAH

I thought James was brilliant as Fidele, so I'm looking forward to seeing how he does in such a completely different role.

Busy week this week, making up for the fact I've only been to the theatre twice so far this year. Across the Pennines to Sheffield on Wednesday for Everybody's Talking About Jamie then down to London on Thursday for a few days to see Half a Sixpence, Dreamgirls, Death Takes a Holiday and like seemingly everyone else on here The Wild Party on Saturday eve.

On Tuesday I shall be schlepping off to Hammersmith to see 'The Fantastic Mr Fox'. I hope there won't be any children there. I hate children.
On Wednesday I shall be heading to The Other Palace to see the fantastic foxy Mr Simon Thomas in 'The Wild Party'. Afterwards I think I might head over the road for a Gin & Dubonnet at the Other Other Palace.

Tomorrow I'm going to a live podcast recording, for something different!
And then back into my usual habits on Thursday to catch a matinee at the ROH and see Francesca Hayward's debut Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty.

This is more what I have been to see, rather what I am going to see...a bit of Am Dram - Sive at The Spring Arts Centre in Havant. What a depressing play that was...Impeccably acted, but the subject matter was incredibly gloomy. I may have to rewatch the recording of Gypsy with Imelda at the weekend to cheer myself up

Tonight I shall be enjoying 'The Glass Menagerie'. I hope there is at least one hot man in a vest. I like a man in a vest with my Tennessee Williams.
