Mon - The Lieutenant of Inishmore (Liverpool Everyman) Tues - 101 Dalmatians (Liverpool Empire) Thurs - Wonder Boy (Liverpool Playhouse) Sat - A Dolls House (Sheffield Crucible) I’d appreciate your thoughts on Lieutenant as I’m going to see it later in the run. Also Wonder Boy as I’m weighing up whether to book for when it comes to Blackpool Grand.

Wed 25/9 - Brassed Off, Bolton Octagon Sat 28/9 - Theatre Club discussion Brassed Off, Bolton Octagon. The theatre Club discussions in no way replace the much missed Investigate Days involving director, cast members, and interesting guest contributors that the Octagon used to do, pre-rebuild and pre-Covid, but they are well facilitated and generally interesting and enjoyable. Thurs 26/9 - I’m still debating whether to cross the Pennines again for A Raisin in the Sun, Leeds Playhouse, after last Saturday’s cancelled performance or take the refund.

I saw Brassed Off a few weeks ago and thought it was a really enjoyable production and worked well in the Octagon. The brass band was excellent.

Finally getting to ‘Dear Evan Hansen’ in Notts on Friday night.
edit: rubbish weather & broken M5 mean that attempt number two has come to nothing.
