Wednesday (7th) ENG-ER-LAND at the King's Head Theatre, Islington.
I'm looking forward to the play (a one-hour monologue by Nikhita Lesler) and I'm also looking forward to seeing how the new (opened Jan 2024) theatre shapes up after the old King's Head pub theatre nearby closed after more than 50 years in 2023, though the pub itself thankfully still goes strong. The new dedicated residence has about 200 (thrust) seats and so is quite intimate.
I'm looking forward to this one.

Last Saturday ended up going to Your Lie in April for the matinee and yesterday was sadly unable to go to Antony and Cleopatra.
This week: Monday - Kiss me, Kate Tuesday - nothing booked yet (will try sister act and fiddler) Wednesday- Fangirls (mat) and don’t know about the evening Thursday - no mat booked yet, Frozen at the evening Friday - will try the rush for Mean Girls (mat) and Hello Dolly! At the evening. Then straight to the airport for my 5am flight back
So…Yes, Frozen again. Originally had this day booked, first row and all, and then Samantha said that she would be off and I was gutted, since I wanted to see her again. So had to book it again, and fortunately was able to see her one last time as Elsa this last Saturday.
Would like to see Frankie goes to Bollywood, but will have to cross it if they don’t do more sales on tickets (they had discounts until yesterday, but I was still unsure, and now they are gone and prices of decent seats are too high for me)
Might try Hadestown or Starlight Express, but not too bothered about both because I will be back before they close.
Might try to repeat Next to Normal or Kathy and Stella. Might try to revisit Back to the future before the cast change or Guys & Dolls before it closes

Fiddler had no Rush today (and tomorrow I’m guessing the same will happen again) so I’m giving up on it Wasn’t expecting to see Hadestown during this visit, was saving it for January, but got a great rush ticket for it, so couldn’t resist

Viola's Room on Thursday afternoon, and something not yet decided pending the TodayTix Rush for the evening! Tried for Hadestown and Next To Normal in the Rush, but no luck. Opted for Kiss Me, Kate instead.

Also just booked a ticket for West End Woofs on Saturday. I really mustn't come away with a dog but who knows.

And so my theatre trip is nearing to an end. Very tired but it was an overall successful one. 18 shows in 10 days 🥳 Wednesday ended up repeating Next to Normal as the evening show. Yesterday matinee was able to see Frankie goes to Bollywood, thanks to discounted tickets at the “last minute” (seats that were previously £55/45 reduced to £25 around midday; awful venue, at least for this show) Today was able to get a rush ticket for Mean Girls matinee to join Hello, Dolly! at the evening Will be back January 2025, if not sooner

Double show day at the RSC on Thursday. School for scandal in the afternoon, then merry wives of Windsor in the evening. Looking forward to both as in the very expensive seats for £10 using their student offer. We are usually stuck at the back, so will be nice to be close to the action for once!
