A friend had booked tickets for us to see Pretty Woman today as a birthday gift. Ho hum. Refund still awaited, by the way.

Manor at The National was my show tonight. Love Nancy Carroll and was looking forward to this since Manor was announced.

The NT has given me vouchers for future in lieu of the tix I had for one of the prods so I expect ongoing. I will have a quite a pile to spend on future shows! Doesn’t make me at all happy of course. They are asking for donations.

Tonight it was supposed to be 'The Effect' at the Boulevard, with a great cast. Now it will either be 'Jane Eyre', or 'Jesus Christ Superstar', not sure yet...

Struggled home from work through the holiday traffic to get home in time for (switching on) JCS tonight. Remember enjoying it a great deal in the flesh (mostly for the volume I think) even if neither of my picks won the show (David Hunter and mostly TPJ whose voice suited the material the best of all). Keep getting little stutters in the feed though which add to the fun.

Tonight I was supposed to see 'Rare Earth Mettle' at the Royal Court. I absolutely adore the Court, I love Arthur Darvill and I was supposed to be going there with a dear friend - so I'm a little sad that's not happening. I might just see 'Treasure Island' tonight, to make up for Darvill, at least. :)

I was due to finally see Hamilton this week. Not sure it's really *me* so I haven't minded not seeing.
Anyway, this is really quite marvellous, imo. Taking another look now - not overly long ...

Should have been seeing Les Mis this afternoon, in one of the coveted (i.e. comparative bargain) front row seats behind the conductor.

Today I should have been seeing the last two performances of The Comedy About A Bank Robbery. Is that the play you've seen over 70 times? I'm sorry... As a happy 'repeat offender' when it comes to theatre, I can relate to the joy of seeing something you love more times (not as many, though). It must be disappointing never getting to properly 'close' that chapter... Not quite theatre, but I was supposed to be seeing the Foals play live tonight, which I was much looking forward to: their last two albums have been really important to me over the past couple of months, during the turbulent changes in my life. But, the silver lining is that it will still happen: on 2 May 2021. Something to look forward to in the distant future...

I was pretty sure then that thatt would be my last time seeing it but there were 3 more performances after the one I saw so it wasn't like seeing a final show.

Although the bank holiday was moved to Friday, tonight should have been the final of the snooker at the world-famous Crucible Theatre. It's the Lord Mayor I think I feel most sorry for, who is missing out on a slap-up meal and a complimentary front row seat.
An academic at one of the universities has calculated that if the rearranged tournament goes ahead behind closed doors, the city's economy will take an economic hit of over £2 million.

I just found out by accident that my next ‘Hamilton’ is cancelled too, as the next available date is the Monday night after we were meant to go. So Cam Mac is serious that he doesn’t think we’ll be back til September...
