I still want to see it but the matinee is so early it doesn't fit in with seeing a film beforehand, so I'm hoping for deals on evening tix. But maybe with the closure announced and return visits from enthusiastic patrons, there'll be no need for further discounts. I won't lose any sleep over it if I don't see it, but my theatre tix this year have already cost so much more than last year that I need to pay less for a few now!

Surely if you are whizzing between venues between a matinee and evening show then the earlier the matinee the better as a later matinee leaves even less travelling time :/ |

No, that's never been an issue; the problem arises regularly when the film ends too close to the start of the matinee.

I assure you that 3 and 3:30pm matinees are the exception, rather than the rule (which is, generally, 2:30, of course). |

Off-topic, so I have started a new thread in General Chat - but btw, I've just booked for two 3.15 pm matinees and in Windsor the Saturday matinee is at 4.45 pm!

Saw this again today and absolutely loved it. Still in awe of Harry Melling (It really dawned on me today how physically this role is!) and I love Jemima Rooper even more this time round! As I already knew how it ended it was slightly less shocking but the end of both act one and two were just outrageous. The pace was good and the jokes really worked. I know this has had a mixed bag of reviews from both critics and other board users but I have loved it both times. Took a friend today who raved about it afterwards too. My sister is dying to see it so I may go once more before it closes!
Won my tickets in a competition so I got to meet the cast afterwards too which was nice.

It's the best show I've seen so far this year by far, and the only one posted about on my decidedly unstagey personal facebook profile, because I thought it'd appeal to less my less hardcore, casual theatregoing friends too! I really couldn't fault it. Outstanding cast, hilariously shocking and yet simultaneously touching script, simplistic yet effective set, lighting and sound design. What's not to like? The Stage's one star review shocked me so much, I feel like I have to champion it where I can!  |

Well I am looking forward to it - week after next.
Booked very early as I somehow thought there would be a rush for tickets and the £25 Wednesday matinee seemed a good bargain. Could probably have got the same price for any performance. Good seats though, so I don't mind.

I might try for Saturday evening, though that is likely to be the most popular and therefore least affordable performance. Thing is, I really want to see The Painkiller, which ends much sooner and I've entered the lottery so many times in vain, but I will have to try for that as my first option, and if no luck again, see if I can get a ticket for this.

Yes, a shame. It just wasn't West End Fayre appealing to the tourists. I despair at the WE sometimes. All we seem to get is tired revivals - currently How the Other Half Loves and soon Hobsons Choice at this very theatre! If this play had been on at the Almeida or the NT it would have sold out!

It didn't attract nearly as good as the American version did. It had a very good cast too but never my taste so I never even thought about seeing it. I think it didn't sell well at all, it couldn't of to have closed over a month early! One of the biggest flops this year so far..

My friend has got tickets for tomorrow night, so shall be seeing this with him before it closes this weekend.
I really don't know much about it (not even read reviews), the fact it hasn't found it's audience here so does mean I am going in expecting bad things.
In fact I have no expectations with this one, just going to see and hope I enjoy the play!!
