I managed to get myself the last two front cheap tickets for the date I wanted. I had wanted to book more but discovered on trying to book more tickets on a different date later in the run that I was only allowed two cheap tickets for this production (is this a National Theatre general rule? I've not tried to book more than two before for a single production so don't know). Two seats not next to each other, but at least my friend and I are seeing it. Plus we don't need to talk to each other during the actual show anyway, so have no need to sit next to each other. Yes, only allowed 2 of the £15 seats for each production run (including if they extend the booking dates!)

I wonder how may tickets will be left on 5th May. For a short moment I was able to select tickets for an evening in September, but I think that the system would've rejected me later (also, I'm skint, so no tickets for me right now). I would be surprised if this turned into Angels and was all sold out on 5th May, but who knows? Maybe people crave for Sondheim and Imelda?

Having a quick shuftie at the seating plans (it's quietened down considerably now so more time to browse without feeling guilty that 2543 people are waiting behind you!) the pattern seems to be most top price seats put on sale sold, and the cheapest (what few there were...) are sold.
There seems to be plenty of 2nd, 3rd & 4th price though for most performances, plus whatever they've held back for public sale. Think the main issue will be where you'd get in the queue on the day! (and if the ticketing system doesn't have a hissy fit!)

Good to know something is still reserved to the prestigious "General Public"

I've never used AmEx booking before - do you or anyone happen to know how I go about it? Do I just enter the first 4 digits for access and then proceed as usual, or do I need to register or something previously?

In and out within 15 minutes, tickets booked no problem!
Plenty of seats available (I was looking for October), although by far the greater number are not at the full price).

So I've never booked anything through National Theatre entry pass before. Can someone do an idiots guide to it? When how etc. I'm signed up, but don't have a clue from there what I do...

So I've never booked anything through National Theatre entry pass before. Can someone do an idiots guide to it? When how etc. I'm signed up, but don't have a clue from there what I do... You just need to make sure that you're signed into your account when tickets go on sale at 9:30 this Wednesday morning. Then book as usual, although you'll have to get through the online queue first, but that's all automated so you just have to wait and it'll put you through to the booking page once it's your turn. The only other thing to bear in mind is that if you're booking two tickets for a performance, make sure one of them is 'Entry Pass' and the other 'Under 26 Guest' otherwise it won't let you book - you can change this in the yellow tab on the seat selection page once you've picked your seats.
