It is for us peasants But some already will have an account (as you need to create one when buying online). If you don't have an account already, don't worry, you will be prompted at the point of purchase.

It does make a noise, a tuneful little thing three notes long. Turn your volume up and go about your morning.

Queue seems to be moving up nicely. 802 at the moment. I will definitely be pulled into a meeting the moment I reach the top of the queue.

Go anthony40 ! Stupid question time. Can someone tell me if there's some sort of noise when you get to the front of the queue? Or do I have to outstare my laptop? There is a sort of noise! Just got a preview ticket. Looking at the seating plans there are plenty of tickets still available (though a couple of dates already gone). So everyone queuing now should be fine!

I think they should add that "wah wah wah" sound for when it kicks you out of the queue instead, too. It could just play "I'm still here" every minute to tell you that you were still connected.

Oh for goodness sake! I've just booked for some obscure Monday in September - so not what I wanted, but I refuse to sit in the stalls where I can't see so got the first available front circle because I had no problem with the wall at Ugly Lies the Bone and now realise it's not the same theatre........but I am multi-tasking in 2 languages and Mini Tibs' 3G has gone down at school and I have no signal for texting and am currently alternating between texting from halfway up my neighbour's tree and ....I'm rambling.
I got me some tickets! Yay!

Got in the queue at 8.15 & was already over 500 away when 8.30 came around but I managed to get the tickets I wanted so can't really complain. Was expecting with so few dates for there to be very little left but availability looked pretty good for most dates. Hope everyone got something

Just grabbed a £15 ticket for a Saturday matinee. Relatively easy, despite having over 2000 ahead of me, leaving the house, losing internet connection, taking a bus and then having to monitor my mobile at my work. In the circle or in the stalls? Just nosy. Last booking they kept back some cheap tickets in the stalls for public booking.

I had given up on this as it wasn't on during the week I'm in London in October. But the Imp of the Perverse was apparently sitting on my shoulder this morning and I felt the urge to see if I could get a ticket if I tried.
Now I have a ticket for a preview in early September. Annoyingly there was one decent single seat left in the stalls and I was on position 4 of the queue for that performance, so I started screaming at the screen "move it, sod off, and for heaven's sake, leave that seat alone" - luckily I did get it. Now I need to obviously arrange another weekend in London. Duh.

That was nowhere near as stressful as the Angels in America onsale. Not having to line up 2 dates in the right order helped. AiA was way too stressful!

Got myself a £28 ticket for a preview - could have had a £15 one, but it was right off to the side in the back row of the circle, so decided against it.
Every time I opened a date again, different seats showed. This is because the NT system lets you hold seats in your basket for up to 30 minutes. I assume a lot of people were doing the same as me - putting something in their basket, then continuing to browse dates for something better. I had about four different tickets in my basket before committing to the one I bought.

I didn't get what I wanted, which would have been £15 stalls, but I thought I'd better buy something in case I regretted not doing so later so got a circle ticket for £38 on a Friday evening preview. Helped by the office currently resembling the Marie Celeste, as all the permanent staff are on a team building exercise, so I could sneak on the internet to book!

I've booked for this today and it is damned annoying that members get exclusive booking rights before us plebs can get a chance to book. I realise that the NT make money from memberships but not everyone lives close enough to London or wants to see lots of National Theatre productions to make them want to join. I think this is a limited run, so not everyone has a fair chance of booking and getting good seats.

Considering there were plenty of seats left and no queue when I booked in the middle of this afternoon then I don't think that's fair - it's up to each individual if they want to see a show so badly they'll pay for membership for early booking. This is by no means the hottest ticket of the year.
