I don't wanna cause an argument, but as long as sophizoey is enjoying herself and not doing any harm, is there really a problem? I personally only went to the tour twice because I just can't afford to go as much as other people, once in Edinburgh and once in Sunderland, and both times, stage door was fine. It had been a while between the two visits, so it didn't really feel awkward.

I have no issue with people seeing the same show again and again. I've seen it many many times myself.
However I think if you have seen a show multiple times it might be nice to perhaps hold back a little at stage door now and then so that people who are going to the show only the once get a chance to have a conversation with the cast too.

I saw Amy Webb as Elphaba for the first time last night and she was phenomenal! I would absolutely recommend seeing her if you get the chance. She felt like a mix of Alice Fearn and Amy Ross to me and that really made me love her Elphaba! I second this! I was at the show last night and she was amazing! The current tour has the best combined cast I think I've ever seen! Each performance is amazing! Has anyone ever sat in the Upper Circle at the Sunderland Empire? I sat there last night for the first time and when Amy moved forward before flying in DG the lift was really visible behind her! Anyone else noticed this before??

Anyone else noticed this before?? My friend was sat in the Gallery just above there and he said to me at the interval that he could see the lift. I was in the Stalls so couldn't really make it out.

Have to echo the comments about Amy Webb.
In most previous productions if you were seeing third choice Elphaba you would be seeing someone perfectly fine but not exceptional. Amy Webb is exceptional.
Any other year she could have got the lead role but unlucky for her there's also Nikki "powerhouse" Bentley (who could quite easily be a leading Elphaba herself) and Amy Ross who is an absolute delight.
I doubt anyone sat in that theatre over the last two days watching Amy W had the slightest idea they were not watching lead Elphaba. The same can be said when Nikki is on. This shows the incredible strength of this cast!
The Broom is in very good hands, whoever is holding it.

Producers have really outdone themselves with casting for this tour, especially with the green girls. I wouldn't be surprised if Goodwin is just as amazing as the other three.

How early in advance does Nikki get told her scheduled dates? I’d like to see her in Cardiff but tickets are going fast. There’s no 9 show weeks anyway during the run so does that mean no scheduled dates for Nikki anyway?

Not strictly a 9-show week but Wed 21st and Thur 22nd are double matinee/evening show days as it’s the final week, so you could assume that Nikki will do one of those shows. I saw Nikki reply to someone on Twitter this week saying that she doesn’t know her Southampton days yet so guess it will be closer to the time before she knows Cardiff!

I feel so bad for Amy. She’s been ill on and off virtually the whole Sunderland run, as Nikki is on today. I was lucky enough to see her early in the run but I know that right after that she got pretty ill.

I’m going to the matinee in Sunderland tomorrow, first time I’ll have seen a production other than the West End production. Couldn’t resist it when I went on to look and there was one seat left in the stalls, bang in the middle of row I for £25!!
Slightly concerned about a Sunderland matinee audience but hopefully the bahvioir will be alright.

I went to a matinee there and it was mostly fine apart from a few crying children and a bit of packet rustling. I found the Sunderland audience to be the most reluctant at giving applause.

Amy’s had quite a bad illness for the whole Sunderland run, and so has Emily Shaw. They keep dipping in and out of the show. Emily was back yesterday and apparently her voice isn’t back.
I’ve also not heard great things about Aaron.

Emily Shaw was absolutely fine, nothing wrong with her voice at all.
I'm not particularly a fan of Aaron's Fiyero, I personally prefer Benjamin Yates, although if we are going on how Fiyero is "supposed to be", Aaron's portrayal is more authentic. Incredibly arrogant and self centred in act one and a calm and humble act two. It shows a huge shift as he goes through his journey. In most people's take on Fiyero you don't see that and they are the same act one and two, which doesn't make as much sense. He also gets huge cheers from the audience the every night so he is doing something right.
Sometimes I wonder how much people's perceptions of performers are based on their actual performances and how much their thoughts are influenced by how friendly (or not) the performer is at the stage door.

Jessica Vosk seems to have built up an entire fan base through just her online / stage door presence alone so this is definitely a thing. Amy Ross (who I have never met) is a VERY good Elphaba in my eyes though.

8th time seeing the show but first time outside of the Apollo Victoria. I was very impressed by the touring production, I didn’t feel it was too scaled down compared to the West End production.
Most impressive was the singing - all the cast sounded fantastic, and especially the ensemble! Sound for a touring production probably the best I’ve known.
Really glad I went.

Thinking of catching this in Manchester in January. Would I miss much at the back of the circle? Only thing putting me off really is the prices.

Only thing putting me off really is the prices. seatplan.com/manchester/palace-theatre/This website should help with seat recommendations. I'd say go for it. Amy Ross is, in my opinion, the best Elphaba the UK has ever had and the whole cast from Glinda, Madame Morrible to the ensemble are truly stunning. I've noticed that for Wicked, all the other ATG venues have been dropping the prices of single unsold seats to £25 closer to the performance dates, so if you're willing to wait, maybe that method is good for this particular production as Manchester is also an ATG venue.

I'm from Liverpool so I'd need to plan properly since the trains are cancelled so often but it could be do-able.

Who would likely be on a Thursday or Wednesday matinee?
