I find it fascinating how left-leaners have been told they aren't *listening* to their political opposition and they need to *not* be sanctimonious about their beliefs, and here's ldm2016 saying all the same things while seeming to be completely unaware that he's doing exactly the same thing! You have to laugh really.

Normal for people of your political persuasion....
I will point out that this stubborn and closed minded individual told you that Trump would win and why he would too...
It's time for people like you to listen to the people.
2020 - Tory Landslide win and people like you played your part.... Thank you.
Oh good god you are boring. Let's hope we ain't gonna have 4 years of this...... And you are???
Boring or not, I laid on here the reasons why Trump would win and guess what...? I told you so
The next 4 years will be full of Generation Snowlflake and akin refusing to accept the outcome of the election.... and still not listening...
But of course, all UKIP, Leavers and Trump voters are fat, ignorant, uneducated racists... zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

But in recent years, because of the new left's closed eyes and ears policy we have had:
The rise of UKIP Brexit Trump
The new left are NOT listening...... but others are.
But, hey-ho, at least our children are being taught how vital Mary Seacole was in the Crimea war, eh? Shame her contemporaries never saw her in such light.... RACISTS!!!!

And just for the record, no, not all Conservatives and Republicans are racist or indeed 'wrong' the reasonable ones are simply people who have a different political outlook from my own, but which I can understand and in some areas of life appreciate. The ones I, and many others have issue with are the actual racists and bigots.

Racism and bigotry are cancers on society but some can be cured.... The problem is that the new-left is quick to label people racist or bigots without listening to them. UKIP, Leave campaign and Trump DID listen and found out that most people aren't racist or bigoted but had genuine concerns that needed to be addressed...
Guess what?
Ed Milliband and Jeremy Corbyn are figures of fun
We're leaving the EU
Trump is President
LISTEN, READ, THINK, COMMUNICATE
or scream RACIST!!!!!!
Guess which way worked...

People aren't protesting Trump for no reason, they're doing it because of all of the awful, non-presidential things he's said and promised to do/ the fact that actual Nazis support him and he's seemingly okay with that - at least because it bought him some votes/ his creepy and entitled attitude towards women (including his own daughter)/ his attitude towards Muslims, Mexicans, the LGBT community/ his damning references to 'inner cities' as an innuendo for black youths, etc. etc.
Trump is the president now - that's not likely to change any time soon, but that doesn't mean that people should accept everything he says and not challenge him. Clearly people felt the need to protest, as a way of voicing their concerns about one of the most powerful men in the world
And the idea of just 'getting over' the fact that Trump is the president is ironic given that the current president didn't seem to be able to accept Barack Obama as an American citizen, let alone his country's leader, for years on end.
Oh, and 'Generation Snowflake' along with 'Cuck', 'White Knighting' and (the grimmest of them all) 'Libt*rd' are some of the most dismissive, demeaning insults, dumbing down people's opinions and feelings because they're perceived to show weakness on the Left. Remind me again what's so weak about not wanting the vile, hate filled language (attacking women, non straight, non white, non christian people) to be normalized in America by the man whose job it is to bring the country together.
Even if the concerns of non-straight/white/cisgender/men don't concern people, Trump's apparent lack of eloquence, tact, political experience, and his flipflopping on contentious issues should be concerning enough.
People aren't marching because they want a place in the history books, they're marching because they believe that their lives right now could be severely affected by their president.

SOME people of all sides want to scream and label people. I much prefer a conversation. However this is far from a conversation and look who is screaming...not any of us 'lefties' if you read up the thread.

How do you tackle the widespread problem of serious crime in poor black areas? (and please don't say it's only due to the economy. I grew up in a very poor inner-city council estate on state benefits and free school meals but never turned to crime...)
How do you tackle the radicalisation of Muslims?
The World has serious problems and sitting around a campfire holding hands singing 'Heal the World', "Kum-ba-Ya" and "We Shall Overcome" isn't going to help. What is going to help is accepting that there are issues and tackling them however much that upsets people who have been brought up to believe that you can't mention race or religion....
And those terms you mentioned, like "Generation Snowflake", exist for a reason....

Well you certainly don't tackle those issues by name calling and stigmatising, that's for sure!
Of course there are some serious issues which need to be addressed, I don't dispute that (as someone who also grew up in an inner city - one that was denounced as a no-go area by so called American 'terror - experts' a few years ago in fact (laughably)) but what Trump does is villainize, and otherise. He needs to start dialogues with people, not sit around finger pointing and encouraging his supporters to do so too. That's how hate crimes start cropping up.

You know you didn't predict Trump getting in, right? There was (realistically) only a 50/50 that he would get in or not so u picking his side makes u less 'I told you so' and more 'boring' The hilarious thing is u prob believe we are in the middle of a revolution, no we are currently in an embarrassing footnote in history one of which you will be pretending u didn't support in a decades time when everyone realises how stupid and disgusting Trump/BREXIT etc were

So, how do you tackle illegal-immigration and drugs coming in from Mexico? " - talks about how easy it is to cross the Rio Grande. I think you should tell that to the families of the men, women, and children who have died trying to do it. This is not a law enforcement problem. This is an economic problem. If Mexico's economy was as strong as Canada's, there wouldn't be a problem. The President cannot solve this problem. You cannot seal a 2,000-mile border. Mexico has to solve it. Mexico has to grow its own economy. It has to provide enough jobs so that it's not worth it to try to cross into USA borders illegally. There is no other real solution to this." *Source - The West Wing - www.westwingtranscripts.com/search.php?flag=getTranscript&id=141 Aired 6 November 2005.

You can scream generation snowflake all you like but in the US it has been the Republicans who refused to recognise the legitimacy of Obama's government who kept trying to block any attempt to actually govern. They are also planned to continue to hound Hillary if she had won, whereas the Democrats have generally not been obstructive in the same way and allowed the business of government to continue. Yet when they get into power their main priority is tax cuts for the rich and all the people who were fooled into voting for them are left with nothing - less than nothing given how many are going to lose health insurance. You also have blatant fearmongering - how often have Republicans/the right in America claimed London is some kind of radical Muslim stronghold with no go areas. I'm nearly 40, I'm not part of this mythical generation snowflake just saddened that the idea of equality has become some sort of dirty word.

The difference is that I know the new-left DON'T listen....
Brexit wasn't caused by those who voted for it but by those who could have prevented it but chose to label people as thick, racist and ignorant instead of listening to their concerns.
If Brexit fails it will be the fault of people like you as to why we got in the mess...
But, hey-ho....

Simple rule of thumb for me – would you trust him if left in a room alone with one of your housemaids? Then he shouldn’t be trusted with anything else. [Note: depending on gender/orientation, in this rule ‘housemaid’ can be substituted by ‘footman’].

No, Brexit was caused by a smug party leader honouring the Referendum promise which he'd made to advance his political advantage.

Yes, Brexit was DEFINITELY caused by the people who said "we need to prevent this, they're not going to give that money to the NHS" and DEFINITELY NOT caused by the people who said "hey we can give all this money to the NHS" and the patsies who believed them when they said it. DEFINITELY.

May I remind you all that the result of the Brexit Referendum was determined by the popular vote.
If the US Presidential Election were also decided in that way, President Clinton would have been inaugurated last Friday.
And Trump would now be leading the protests that he promised before the election.

They haven't even dropped that argument yet...
At least have adopted Eddie Izzard as their Che Guevra and Gina Miller as their Messiah despite how many millions the latter parasite is costing the country...

If the US Presidential Election were also decided in that way, President Clinton would have been inaugurated last Friday. So, not only did you not want the great unwashed not to have a say in the future of our relationship with the EU, you think that only New York and California should be allowed to vote in US elections...
Rightyho...
