Somewhat trivial, but if you can't rank musicals on a theatre forum...
Based wholly on music and disregarding your love for a certain show, what are your 5 favourite scores of his?
1. Sunset Boulevard - such glorious continuity (a la Sondheim); Hollywood sophistication; this a score I just 'feel' if that makes sense 2. The Phantom of the Opera - a seamless union of drama and romance; catchy but classy 3. Jesus Christ Superstar - again, this is, for me, such an emotional score 4. Cats - at times an eerie, jazz imbued, score 5. Evita - the first Lloyd Webber score I ever obsessed over... I think I've over-listened to this score, explaining why it's at no. 5
Also, considering this is music based, I have to give an honorable mention to Love Never Dies - a crap show with such an underrated score.
Hope you're all well

I really can't do it! I LOVE all six mentioned so far, along with Apects Of Love and Tell Me On A Sunday... And for sheer longevity and catchiness, Joseph!

I've never really understood the love for Sunset Boulevard. I get a bit bored listening to the soundtrack and skip all but a few songs. I would do:
1) Evita 2) Phantom 3) Jesus Christ Superstar
And then everything else he's ever written before
73) Cats

Hmmm. I'd definitely put Jesus Christ Superstar, Sunset Boulevard, and Evita as my top three, but I don't know in what order, and I don't know what I'd have for 4 and 5.

Am I a bad musicals fan for only knowing 3 and a half of his full scores?
I'm not counting odd songs I've heard performed from other shows.
1) Jesus Christ Superstar 2) The Phantom of the Opera 3) Joseph and a half) The Wizard of Oz
