My friend who was an Elder in Book of Mormon has a bit more than two thousand followers.
Bertie Carvel has a bit under 11 thousand followers (and so barely meets the criteria!), and I'd consider him a lot more than 'average actor' since he's starred in several high profile TV shows in addition to his Olivier-winning theatre work.

So basically, you're a renowned actor with quite a few shows under your belt if you have that many followers. Why on earth should they go to such an audition?

Yes and if you want a big twitter following to promote your show then you could do no worse than:
Alexandra Burke - 697k
Carrie H/F - 399k
Samantha Barks - 164k
Even West End starlet Kerry Ellis 'only' has 47k!

So basically, you're a renowned actor with quite a few shows under your belt if you have that many followers. Why on earth should they go to such an audition? There's two possibilities: 1) The person placing the advert is deluded. (This seems like a strong possibility, considering the standard of advert @proresting usually tweets. She managed an entire Edinburgh fringe show on the subject.) 2) SM follower counts actually get placed in legit, good-quality casting calls far more often than we realise. (Let's hope not!) |

I'm going with the "deluded" option personally, but I suppose there's also the possibility they're "kindly" trying to help a YouTube or Instagram personality break into the acting biz. They'd have a ton of followers but may also find it harder to get through the door of a more traditional audition.

don't know what happened exactly but from what i read on the musical group on fb there was stage door drama deluxe at the Addams Family
SD yesterday or this week , think about Carrie, the post is very vague

^ Saw a tweet from her yesterday about it never being OK for anyone to peer through dressing room windows or reach their hands through the window... perhaps that (though not exactly SD)!

I mean obviously actual creepy peering into dressing rooms is not cool. But from the twitter replies you'd think someone had died...
A moment of benefit of the doubt as well, it COULD have been an entierly random person peering into a window at the theatre in an entierly 'ooh I wonder what's in this room then' moment.

I think she's very talented and has a big future ahead of her but at the same time I think she encourages/enjoys a lot of the drama that surrounds her

Carrie's fans were once going to make sure they went in great numbers to protect her at the stage door - probably from themselves.
Some dressing rooms can be on ground floor level and not all have frosted windows, but I'm sure Carrie would have drawn the curtains, so if someone has put there hands through the window then it's not on. We don't know the full story yet, hopefully Carrie will provide it in due course.
